I got enrolled in Transitions, but when I try to enroll for a course for Part B it says requistes not met. As far as I can see, there is no pre-req for Cultural Diversity? Any idea why it's doing this? I'll have to wait until Monday to call obviously.

Also, any idea how long it takes to tell you the balance after financial aid? It gives me my total for the class, then says pending financial aid. Which shows me the remaining balance. If the course is only 6 credits though, I didn't think it would give me the full aid award. Unless it does because they did only award me a partial award from what FAFSA said. I figured that was because it's technically halfway through the winter term per financial aid. I'll have to also call the financial aid department just to be sure. After I add this other class of course.

I won't be able to double up for Part B, because the other class offered is Excellence and then 2 courses that are being combined. Makes no sense to take them seperate, when I can just take them in one 5 week block. But I can do an intersession course during that time. So I'll still knock out an extra class either way.

Looks like the whole program is being revamped for the fall.

I will be done with nursing classes April 28 and the Business Journalism and Nutrition on June 9. I would consider the 10 day intersession, but I hate to go through the whole application process for 1 class.

When doing just the intersession classes, I don't think you do go through it all. You just do a simple app and it's a $15.00 fee (I think). You can do up to 3 classes without having to have transcripts sent and all that.

yeah - no biggie - just a minimal app - about 20 bucks fee - and IF you choose a class with pre-reqs, you fax an unofficial record of having taken it with a passing grade - like a computer print off etc -

I signed up for OU last year but I was afraid they wouldn't take my micro class and the DARS took forever to get evaluated. So, I explored other options. Now that I see my DARS complete and notice they did take my micro class and many others, I am ready to commence OU RN to BSN program. However I was told they revamped the whole program and 5 week classes are turning into 8 week classes. And all applicants will be starting in the fall. I reapplied. I have to get my transcripts resent. But I was wondering has anyone else heard of their new revision of this program?

My understanding is that the nursing classes will still be 5 weeks with the semesters, but there will be 3 sessions (semesters will be 15 weeks long) instead of 2 we have now with the 10 week long quarters.

The changes to the program actually decrease the total number of nursing classes to 9 from 12. There are still a wonderful 5 week format. As far as commencement times I'm not sure but contact the SON and they'll let you know. Good luck!

3 less classes? Awesome. Hopefully tuition stays the same. I got my acceptance e-mail, but still haven't received any kind of welcoming info. They did however assign me an adviser! After the transitions course I'm hoping I can double up on as many courses as possible so I can get this done! I would be ecstatic if I could complete 5 of the 9 classes in 1 semester!
