Nurses Uniform/Gear

I'm starting nursing school in the fall and I can't seem to decide which stethoscope to get. I've narrowed it down to the Littmann Classic II S.E. and an UltraScope. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

I start nursing school in the fall also and i have also been thinking which to buy! I am kinda glad I'm not the only one thats goin crazy about this. I have been debating on master cardiology or Cardiology III
Only because i am thinking long term, and since they have a seven year warranty on master cardiology. Anyone recommend anything different?

I was also wondering about the colors... I was leaning toward the plum Cardiology III but was afraid it might not be what it looks like on the picture... Ill probably just have to hope it does. It seems the www.medisave.net has the best prices since it is free shipping and free engraving.
I got my plum cardiology III this week!! It's beautiful! The color is not as shown in the picture though...it's not as bright as it's shown, it's darker and not as purple. Even though it's not as shown I am still pleased with the color though! This picture here is much more true to the actual color http://respiratorytherapycave.blogspot.com/2010/08/best-stethescopes.html

I went through this debate and ended up choosing the cardiology III because it has both an adult and pediatric head and i like that it would work on any type of unit I ended up on after school. The master cardiology apparently has an attachment to listen to pediatrics but i didn't want to have to worry about carrying around an attachment. I think the cardiology III is a perfect middle ground between the classic II SE and the master cardiology.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I think i am going to go with the plum. I like that it appears to be a dark richer looking color. I'm so excited now...I hope it gets here fast so I can starting harassing all my family members to listen to their heart and lung sounds. haha :redbeathe
Question... now that I've gone to order I do not see the free shipping offer. Did I just make that up in my head? Did you get free shipping on yours or was that some other website I was getting confused with?

I've been using the Littman Lightweight II. It doesn't hurt my ears, is actually light enough to not hurt my neck after 12h, and I hear great with it.
Not saying it's the BEST, but I like it a lot. No complaints. And at around $45, a much smarter buy for a student. (yay, amazon prime!)
Let your family buy you the $150-$200 scope when you graduate.

This is my dilemma too, but mine is between the Littmann Lightweight SE II and the Littmann Classic SE II. I just posted a thread about this just before finding this thread. Wow I would have just posted here had I known such a recent discussion on the topic had taken place. I also start nursing school this fall and can't wait!!!!

I just ordered the Litmann Classic SE II in ORANGE. Awesome, it's my favorite color and our uniform scrubs are purple. Not only will it stand out, but everyone should know that it is mine, so no missing stethoscope. Also, I had it engraved for FREE with mediasave!

What website did you order it from NursinginOh? I would loved to get an engraved one :) Although my school wont allow us to have bright colors unless its purple (our school color)
I ordered from Mediasave. What school do you go to? My school color is also purple, hence the purple scrubs.

MySonIsAdorable, if you're on facebook Medisave has a page and if you become a fan and ask for a coupon code they'll send you one. Its not spectacular, but its some savings! Good luck!
Also, by coincidence, my son is adorable too! I love your screenname!
