I got to use mine a couple of times for bandages and such but every time I lent them out they never came back, no ransom note or anything. Sad to say that now I am a borrower. They should sell this kind of stuff at the allnurses.com store

I have had three pairs of bandage scissors stolen from me in the last 2 years. What's that about? Come on get your own!

I stopped buying bandage scissors because they were too expensive and always walked away. Now I buy the childrens blunt tip scissors for 3-4 dollars each that work just as well and are less of a pain to replace.

Get outta here! When in the heck do you have time to do practice charting? And 5 times? Why do you have to rewrite it, what's wrong with the original? I'm genuinely curious here.

I use them to cut off ID bands that are too tight!!! my personal pet peve. Some are so tight they are like tourniquets.

That is primarily what I use my bandage scissors for! But I have been known to use them for opening unit dose pill packages that the manufacturers have made Nurseproof!!! I use em to cut paper too! I always wipe with an alcohol pad before and after use as well to keep the germies at bay!

Sometimes I'm scurrying around to finish my original charting, let alone PRACTICE it 5 times!

5 times??? I have done a few practice copies, with made up pt's at home, I have never had time on the ward, and I have never tried 5 times in a row!!

But back to scissors; I use mine lots, I am lost without them, at Christmas I was making paper spirals with them, to help decorate the Christmas tree

Although I have used a lot of alcohol on them, My scissors are very happy, even if they do some to run off quite often.:chuckle

And why is a scissor so hard to find in a hospital? If there isn't one in your pocket, forget it!

That and flashlights! Where do they go?
