I would try it like this. Mind you, nothing is set in stone: if you don't like something you can change it to suit your tastes.

Since I'm not familar with your background, I borrowed some of my nurse friend's professional profile and made it more generic. Same with the summary that's under the LPN title and with the dates when you graduated from your programs. Be sure to tailor it for yourself. Look over your work experieces and see whether you can reword the bullet points to show value you gave to the firms.

The skill highlights section is your buzzword list. I move those skills I saw in your clinical area into here. check to see what to add - mind that the phrase must one to three words and must begin with a noun. Reserve the verbs for the work experience section.

I also took a reasonable guess as to the cities and states of the places you worked at.

You have an employment gap so be ready to explain it in an interview.

The type of resume you see here from my rework is called a hybird (or combination) resume: it combines elements of functional and chronological resumes and seems most favored by busy American employers. An employer would skim a resume/cover letter combination of a candidate for about 7 to 9 seconds, usually in an "F" eye pattern movement (skimming down the left-third side of the page usually around the upper third part then across or down if something catches his/her eye that's intriging), before deciding whether the paperwork makes the initial cut or not. Or as we southerners say "about the attention span of a nat." So my small rework is designed to maximize that so you get into the next stage: the interview - then the whole resume becomes your script.

It puts forward the value you're offering up front with your brand that says to the employer "I'm the answer to your problem." As a foreign nurse you can maximize your brand with a combination of language, patient / cultural sensitivities, and skills. So you're going to do a little research about the employer and geographic area you'll applying for and tailor the resume accordingly, mostly in the mission statement (the short sentence below "Licensed Practical Nurse"), your professional profile, and your top skills in the "Skill Highlights." Not all the employer's problems are going be printed on the want ad and he/she may not even be aware of it.

Organization is key. If you have considerable experience to offer, then that comes up below your skills to highlight them by emphasizing how you exceeded your previous employer's relevant value expectations with two- to five- bullets points. If you're a newly minted nurse, then below your skills would be your education followed by your clinical experience where your practicum and rotation subjects can sell. In America, everybody's primary role is that of "business-person" so use your resume and cover letter as marketing tools.

If so interested, you could post you resume in a seperate thread - redacted so personal info, places you actually worked at and applying for, and other identifiers won't be used to trace back to your real persona. See above for an example. Then your resume can be critiqued by your peers for improvements they see needed. I'm assuming you were taught English as a foreign language so your writing might be somewhat more formal and lengthly than Americans are used to reading and could be seen as "stilted" compaired to native writers. Practicing your writing helps overcome this.

Mind you, the only thing you can see here in the thread is the content. The other part, image presentation (colors, fonts, text posistioning, borders, etc.) is a bit more difficult to do here (in other words, I haven't figured out how to use those icon thingies in the text box here).
