  1. congratulations on your journey your an inspiration for all the nurses doing their best to succeed the examination even those who have communication barrier in different countries I really feel your happiness while reading your post :)
  2. this is my new year's resolution to my work I hope to manage my bilingual nursing studies:) thank you for all the comment
  3. Mr. Steve first of all I want to thank you for choosing Philippines to work as a nurse and I really hope that you find the kind of job you are looking for as the others have posted there are some difficulties that you will be facing in working in our country but others also have posted that some universities will be very interested in hiring you I also think that so God bless to you:)
  4. I bring my electronic dictionary all the time while at work I know it's a little bit baggy not to mention the other things a nurse need to bring, but for me it helps a lot to learn things immediately and after shift I try to read a little more about the unfamiliar term:)
  5. sorry if I offended you in any way. I don't mean any sarcastic thought no harm.
  6. I'm sorry my English was inappropriate mandated is not right but I would say highly recommended my supervisor always remind me so I kinda think it was like mandated after all. but thanks anyway for reminding me it illegal indeed... my choice of word is really inappropriate. sigh
  7. wow everyone has their point.I wish I can leave but don't get me wrong I really love nursing there's no such thing as perfect nursing care and that is why I like it and it all boils down to your devotion but when it devours your equilibrium state it unravels thought provoking ideas. the reality is that sometimes people are stuck in their areas b/c you need it not that you want it. maybe you just need to love it a little more so it will love you back more. sorry a very personal opinionXD
  8. yes an ample amount of make up that would make you a nurse for medical tourism purpose haha we even had a seminar and demonstration for thatXD
  9. maybe that is the reason why the clinical instructor and international employer wants to hire med surg nurses haha lucky for us:)
  10. wow I really admire your patient advocacy and respect your high importance for our profession. I hope I can work with lots of nurses like you. I do think that I am in a safe place right now :) but I do to have some of your partial experience it is so frustrating but I just want you to know that please keep doing what is right and eventually I hope it will have a certain degree of effect on them;/. In my case the Good Lord God gave me the opportunity to take my profession in another place:) but I've heard now that they're doing good. In the end the good will always win:)
  11. Depends on your type of surgery ward my previous experience was post orthopedics so a lot of Balkan frame, trapeze set up and post op pain meds, narcotics and pca and of course the assess every 30mins for compartment syndrome, resp. dep. etc all those post op complications and if your lucky enough you could meet a ER complication and have a code but the loneliest part if your patient pass your entire shift without even returning to your hands and be transferred to ICU. so many more but some things are better left unsaid you'll get there and it's sure worth the wait I guessXD
  12. before I usually wear make up because it was mandated by the management hut since I transferred institution I never wear make up. A big thanks for the mask XD
  13. thank you very much! your reply is seriously helpful
  14. Good day everyone. May I kindly ask if this kind of resume can also be applicable if your applying as a foreign nurse. Thank you very much
