RN---->BSN Online

Nursing Students Online Learning

Hey guys...can anyone recommend a reputable & reasonably priced online college for getting my BSN in nursing?

Ive been a nurse for 25 yrs & am pretty happy with my salary. But I'm thinking about doing travel nursing next year. I've been told by my recruiter that a couple of the places I want to go (ex:NY) require a BSN.

Start with your local universities -- many in my area have online or mostly online RN-BSN programs. And many are affordable state schools. I would strongly recommend this route first before jumping to for-profit "online only" educational institutions, some of which are known to be of dubious quality.

What Altra said - I would stay away from your online universities. Many actual universities now offer online options. :) Good luck!

Most state schools are moving towards RN to BSN because it can cut down on costs. You can offer online classes with less overhead cost due to charging technology fees and not heating a classroom. I went to a state school that was partnered with my community college for seamless transition. It took me 9 months doubling up on classes and careful planning during my ADN to get my BSN.
