BSN-RN. I am a male, lift weights, much stronger than the average person. Very passionate about nursing.

Anyways... I have attempted to live in Hawaii but it hasnt worked out for me. I need experience out here. HOWEVER, I have met many people, and it has opened my mind to traveling. I wouldnt mind going to some random place for a couple of years to be trained. I want to spend atleast 2 years there. I have certain principles about not ditching people right after they train you. I consider myself a very loyal person.

I kind of dont care where I go. If there is wind or driving distance to kitesurf or snowkite that would be awesome....

So what states/cities is it easy to get a job? I have already applied to ND. I honestly, dont want to go back to Texas

I was thinking about leaving FL for ND too! You must be as desperate as I am. Which city were you considering? I'm thinking Minot. It's surprising to me that you can't get into a new grad program with a BSN. I hope you find something soon :)

If you don't care where you end up, just start searching the web for facilities in some of the small towns. Most small towns are looking for staff because people would rather live in the cities. Aside from ND, you could look into Virginia or South Carolina. Alaska is sometimes hiring.

Again, think small towns. Places where most people would rather not live. Get your experience for a couple of years, then move on.

OK - you like the beach & kite surfing??? Try Corpus Christi on the Tx Gulf Coast. You could even choose to live on Padre Island which is only 30 minutes from the city. The CHRISTUS Spohn system is large & very new grad friendly. They continue to support new grad internships. You may even be able to talk them into some relocation assistance.

I honestly do not want to go back to Tx. I love the state, I just want to travel in a sense. I just got a phone interview for medical oncology

I would look at rural hospitals. They often have a hard time recruiting. Look anywhere you'd consider and contact the local hospitals. Cast a wide net (which most of us have to do, anyway), and see what pans out.

I got hired in rural Georgia. Going rural is a good bet for jobs, but my best advice is to at least pick somewhere relatively rural that's not forever away from big cities if you like city life. The nearest big city to me is over an hour and a half away and I feel like I'm stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere sometimes.

I had an interview in ND. I think it went well. it will be for Medical/Oncology so I wouldn't mind.

DC has so many opportunities for new Grads many are residencies. I graduated here and was offered 4 jobs as a new grad. Plus DC is a really awesome place with so much to offer!

Here is an update. MD Anderson hasnt called me back. I have left 2 voicemails and have a feeling I wont even get an interview now.

Since that is the case I have applied to 15+ hospitals among the compact states.

NC, SC, VA, MD, ND, SD,

Still going to apply to DE
