Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license

Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.

My questions are:

Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?

What happened?

Did they release your license or not?

If yes: How long did you wait for your license?

If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?

--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

Hi everyone! I would like to ask whether it's ok for CA BON to receive the school and license verification first? Or do I need to file for application before sending the requirements? I will be moving to Cali soon I plan to send the school documents via express courier so I can track it.

I can only process the application itself when I move there and get my SSN. I passed nclex 2008. Btw, I can process it through breeze right?

I would appreciate all your help.

@chinita it's ok if you send them your school credentisls before you send them your application form. My friend did that and he still received his license. Not sure if the online option is ok for previous passers or if it's applicable only for first time applicants. If I may ask, did you still request for verification of license from PRC or just sent a copy of your local license?

Hello sfajRN. May I ask for update regarding your status? I also applied for my license almost the same period as you. They cashed out my money order on 21April and still no word from them. Been checking their website thru BreEze almost daily. The waiting really stretches our patience. Thanks for this thread...keeps my hopes up.

They cashed out my check around that time also, third week of April. I got my license today. You'll get your license soon. GOD BLESS.

i also got my license last Saturday, 6 June 15. Here's my timeline:

23Mar15 - sent reapplication form with required docus (SSN copy, Diploma copy, current PRC license copy, Letter from DCA stating I passed NCLEX, corresponding application fee)

21Apr15 - Money order was cashed out

3June15 - Seen name in the RN lost via BreEze

6June15 - license card receive

i was so relieved and happy, i jumped for joy í ½í¸„

There is hope and patience is a virtue. Now back to job hunting.

I was going thru the message threads.. I am a 2008 NCLEX passer and I just got my SSN june 2015.. I'm kind of confused on the steps that I have to do what comes first to get a RN license?

My lawyer was telling me to go to CA-BON at sacramento... I'm really confused now... thnaks

Thank you,, I have read the threads... I passed NCLEX2008 and got my SSN this June.

I prepared all the documents:

APPLICATION FORM (2 pages)

2x2 colored picture (1)

FINGER print scan ($74 via UPS) print 3 copies

SSN copy

NCLEX Letter

DIPLOMA copy

PRC copy

Marriage Certificate (to use my married name)

TOR thru CGFNS Edas

Yesterday June 25,2015 I went to SACRAMENTO California board of nursing office to submit my papers personally. I travel thru greyhound 2hrs from SFO. I arrived at the office at 11:00am. The place is not as busy compared to SFO buidings are far apart. THE CA-BON building is 2 floors. I was directed to suite 150, A little surprised because it was small office room with 1 window. the lady assisted me very well she check my document. On the application question Have you ever applied for RN licensure in California?If yes, Month __________ Year __________ she asked me to answer it YES and put PASSED then the month and year. Then I was asked me to pay $150 and gave me a receipt with entity number which will be used for following ups. It only took me less than 20mins.

My concern is my TOR, She said I could sent it thru CGFNS eDAS. Just what to know if I'm paying the right fee $225 for Edas or there is a different service for the TOR to be sent to Ca-bON

Hi. I passed NCLEX RN CA last 2008 and had it endorsed to vermont after 3 yrs to have an active license while still in the Phils. Now Im in CA and have my ssn already. Is my pass letter in CA still valid or I should apply for endorsement? Thank you
