Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Published

I just e-mailed AHPRA.

Some previous AHPRA applicants said they were instructed to have their CVs signed by their employers.

From my understanding of instruction #13 of AGOS-40, the SoS (or Certificate of Employment) must be signed by a manager; while the CV must be signed by the applicant with statement of "...true and correct..." etc. My SoS was signed by my employer. Where does it say that the CV must also be signed by the employer? Is it required now? If it is, kindly update the AGOS-40 *.pdf form on your website. (By the way, a few employers wouldn't sign the CV since the SoS already contains their signature.)

Please give us an accurate and up-to-date answer. Thank you!

I'll post their reply here right after I receive it.

hi

mindful1,

just another reminder on the statement of service.. it must specify the word "registered staff nurse" or "certified staff nurse". yes, plus the sign of the authorized people (like supervisor, hr head etc).. for your cv, try reading this site because it helped me a lot the time i was applying for loe.. ausphilrn: standard cv/resume for overseas trained nurse

good luck mate! :)

hello guys!

Anyone tried applying to Mercy Health Training INstitute? Pls email me in [email protected]. Thanks!

AHPRA responded to my inquiry by email. I'm not allowed to post the original message verbatim. I'll paraphrase, instead. The AHPRA representative said that they do not require CVs to be signed by employers. It is optional.

@aila61: I texted my head nurse this morning and asked him to sign my CV. He said yes. I'll visit the unit. Thank you for this info.

(P.S. I sent you a friend request here although I'm not yet allowed to send PMs. Hope you'll accept it. Thanks.)

@pringxoxo: hi! thank you for this link. :)

Hi! I think I've read from the preceding forum (Part 2) that some applicants had their CV's signed by their most recent employers. I wonder if it is required by AHPRA. Below is the instruction #13 from AGOS-40:

The instruction specifies that the CV must include a statement "This CV is true and correct as at ___" and signed by the applicant himself/herself. (My Certificate of Employment was signed by our Medical Director and Chief Nurse, by the way.)

For those who had their CVs signed by their recent employer, were you instructed by an AHPRA representative to do so? Did your SoS/CoE contain the signature of your employer?

Hi Mindful1, just for your information, the CV that AHPRA requires need to be signed as a True statement by both you and you employer, as required by AHPRA. When you send in your CV, just make an addendum on the last page that "the information provided in this CV is true and correct to my knowledge" and sign and date it. I hope this helps! I sent mine that way and there was no issue with AHPRA.

just got my visa too late... the batch for august closed.. I'm in for september.. are you for inha also? september?

Hello patringrn, I am just interested to know what really happened that took so long for your visa to get through. I am in distress now as I am for the August Intake at Alpine Health Victoria, starting from August 13. I had applied for my Business Short Stay Visa on June 19, had my medicals July 4 in Dubai, received an email from my visa case officer on July 18 saying that my medical report has been referred to Australia for further processing. To date, I have not received any further email from my case officer. May I please ask how long after your medicals you received your visa? Did they tell you any reason for the late visa? I am bundle of nerves now...any advice on this will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
