Graduate in the Philippines to take NCLEX in California

HI, I'd like to ask if someone has the same sitch as me and what they did.

I am a graduate of Manila Doctors College last May 2011.

I'm back here in California. I am a permanent resident (green card holder). I have read on the CA.RR.GOV that I do not need to take the Philippine local boards or the cgfns and the toefl exam to take the NCLEX.

I have already accomplished my livescan and sent in my application and paid 150$.

Now they have sent me a letter requiring me with the following things:

1. Class schedule for the nursing program completed at MDC

2. Transcript for all education and training sent from MDC

3. Enrollment forms during my nursing years

4. Clinical rotation schedule and/or student logbook reflecting dates, instructor's signature and location of clinical training completed

5. Social security card

6. Passport and visa

I have no problem with numbers 2,5 and 6. But my the others I don't know how to get. :( I don't have a copy of my class schedules anymore, and so as my enrollment forms for 4 years. and most importantly, the clinical rotation schedule with dates and instructor's signature. :( HOW WERE YOU GUYS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THAT? I'm self reviewing for my exam and going to the library everyday, but right now i cant focus because I don't know how to accomplish these things. :(

I REALLY HOPE SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME AN ADVICE ON WHAT'S THE BEST THING TO DO.

Hi everyone I am a graduate of Far Eastern University 2009 and a board passer of same year. I already have 4 years and 5months hospital experience.

I am planning to take the nclex. Because my fiancé who's residing at California already filled for a fiancé visa.

But I don't know which state to choose. I don't have an SSN.

Please help me which state to choose that would be easier to file for reprocity for California.

Even if you had a SSN (that's work authorized), there's a very high chance your application (whether it's first-time application or the endorsement application) unless you know for sure 100% that you'll pass the concurrency courses with no problems or able to re-take the deficiency courses to meet the CA BRN requirements, reciprocity (endorsement) will most likely not going to happen and then you'll be stuck with an out-of-state RN license that will not be approved in CA.

There is NO out of state license (out of the other 49 states) that will be approved by CA unless you meet the CA BRN requirements, even with many years of paid hospital experience. It's not an automatic pass to getting a CA license.

There's been a very recent posting by a kabayan who tried to endorse her out of state license into CA, in fact, she GOT IT! However, she had to turn in her CA RN license and just recently started a CA job only to most likely be unemployed as a CA RN nurse (unless she fixes the problem).

Here's her story and the frustration and disappointment: https://allnurses.com/california-nursing/incompetency-california-board-922870.html The back door approach is no longer an option under the scrutiny of the CA BRN.

Hello everyone! This is addressed to all of the nurses here.

I am a BSN graduate at OUR LADY OF FATIMA UNIVERSITY year 2011, I didn't bother to take the NLE in Manila since my relative in California whom working as a Nurse says it doesn't needed. Year 2013 I migrated here in Ca. I have SSN and permanent resident card already and working permit, so I am planning to take the NCLEX-RN next year 2016. As I keep searching in the Internet what to do, what will be the requirements and how much will it cost and all that stuff, I was directed to this site and I've read alot of the comments or statements here which I think will helps me and everyone who's planning to take the Exam in Ca. or in any other states.

Although I've read all the comments here I still have a question that I hope someone could answer it?

If I were to go back in Manila and take the NLE and pass it, what will I do next? Do I still NEED to submit my TOR, CLINICAL ROTATIONS RECORD, enrolment record etc.?

I would greatly appreciate whoever answer it.

God Bless us all Nurses and Future Nurses!

Specializes in BSN-future USRN.

Even if you passed NLE. Still gonna need to submit TOR, clinicals, etc.
