CGFNS-CVS New York process ?

Hi,

I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.

I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.

Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.

However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..

How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?

Please kindly suggest me !!!

Suggest trying to contact CGFNS and make sure there isn't a bug with your application

Hi. What happened to your CVS? I also have a problem getting an update on my PRC license on my CVS application.

I hate sending emails to CGFNS to follow up on a service. It's like talking to a machine. Sent two different emails/inquiries and their reply to each one is exactly the same and from the same customer service agent.

Do I still need to do something in this part of the process? Or just wait, and let CGFNS process the others?

It's a waiting game, all you have to is to wait because it is an office to office transaction. good luck!

Mine took 8 months to get done. It's a long process.

Thank you. I had to call PRC Manila long distance to inquire and they told me I had to renew my license first. I didnt know current license is a requirement because CGFNS will only have to verify initial registration, NOT current licensure. More money for the PRC

Me too.. My license will be expired this year.. But Im done with the CGFNS.. They are now sending an email to NYBON and now Im waiting for the ATT.. Hoping this month of January.. God Bless!

Hello, Fellow Nurses!..i am new here. Please extend your help to me. I am so confused with the CVS for NY.. My questions are:1. Do I have to go to my school and PRC to get those verification from them or the CGFNS will be the one to get them thru mail?

2. I am currently working as a Dental Assistant right now, and I have the license,too--Do i still have to include it in the information, even if my license here in the middle east is not a REGISTERED NURSE?..please help.
