    Wow, you're real close to Pierce College, get your gluteus maximus over to the campus as soon as possible, get an appt or see if you can walk in to talk to a school counselor or someone in admissions. Hope it works out for you!

    Like most nursing programs in CA, they are very heavily impacted meaning they get so many applicants and just a certain amount of them are selected to attend them. The cost for a local student is much cheaper than attending the other kinds of more pricey colleges, so it's very attractive.

    same here, I'm now looking for school where I can take my MS and OB, hope we can find one.

    Oh, I meant to add in that if the classes are impacted, then the course(s) you need badly could be filled up, so that's why you need to get in asap so that you're not left out!

    You don't want to have to enroll in the entire nursing program.

    Htodab, what's the verdict in your 2nd application? I also did apply for the Ca NCLEX-RN exam and asking a copy of my cases and course schedule, which i did not submit yet. Any advice?

    IS there someone planning to take NCLEX in Nevada? Do we need to apply for CGFNS-CES first before we send our application to Board of Registered Nursing Nevada?

    Yes CGFNS-CES is required. We have to apply for IELTS or TOEFL too since we graduated from a country where the primary language isn't English.

    Do you know the current situation in Nevada? Do they hire new grads?

    I really don't have an idea about hiring new grads in Nevada. I am just planning to take NEVADA exam because its a near state to CA. Also I have relatives in there..

    It's pretty tough in NV. Two of my friends who are recent new BSN grads are still without a job, still waiting for their first nursing job interview call since last May, 2011.
