  1. did you calculate your hours beforehand? I'm just scared to send in money just to be denied again
  2. In the email they send they said i'd need 48 months of med-surg if i calculated right i only have 44 months :/
  3. i received an email from the bvnpt explaining the requirements but if i calculated right it seems like i'm kulang with my med-surg i'm in a panic mode, i hope this all works out
  4. But I wouldn't need the Employment Verification filled out anymore since i'm challenging the exam based on my educational background not employment experience, yes?
  5. does anyone know besides the 54 hours of pharma, if there are other requirements needed???
  6. I wouldn't mind working at an old folk's home or a hospice or anything like that, but i know they also require you to have some experience first before you can work :/
  7. K! I received my documents: 1. Official School Transcripts 2. The form needed to be filled out by school Now all i have to do is add in a copy of both my H.S and College dilpoma, complete and fill out the Application form and get my livescan done. Oh and the payment! AM I MISSING ANYTHING? I'M ACTUALLY FEELING EXCITED LOL
  8. That's true, but the pay is so different as well as the scope of practice. And hospitals aren't really taking in LVNs now as far as a i know, so i have the feeling that places we can apply to work at will be somewhat limited
  9. Have you received your ATT already? I started fresh too, just requested my school documents and all i have to do is wait for em to arrive in the mail, fill out the application form and get my livescan done, I feel kinda down about settling for the LVN exam rather than to pursue the NCLEX-RN
  10. I have tried calling the bvnpt time and time again, but unlike when you try calling the BON where you can just wait for an operator to be available, you have to re-try and call again if no one is available :/ which sucks, everytime I try to call in they are always busy, and going to their office in Sacramento isn't exactly an option for me at the moment
  11. I cant find any schools that will allow me to take just 2 subjects :/ they either dont offer that option or they are completely packed and have no slots
  12. Eligible to take the nclex-pn? i contacted my analyst and said that it's completely up to the bvnpt to determine if i can take it or not :/
  13. Yes it is, but we can't let this stop us from pursuing our dreams! I just pm'd you my email address, please feel free to contact me anytime!
  14. Based on advice from others here on the site as well, I should opt for METHOD 3-- I should fill out my application and get my fingerprints done then send those along with the payment of $150 first, THEN call in to have my documents transferred? Should i just use the documents that i sent in to the BON and have them transferred, or just start a fresh new application? I'm paranoid that if i have my documents transferred somehow, some way they might add a note that I was ineligible for reasons such that...etc. then be told I cant take the LVN exam as well lol And what is that whole employment verification (part of the application) what do i do with that? I've never been employed as an LVN before (possibly a dumb question)
