well first off he always looked like an angry person, very angry

but esp. weird I think it started when he came to pick my patient and he had to wait some because I am dealing with a critical one. Ever since then when he sees me he looks like he wants to punch me. And he doesn't even make me sign back the patient which we do routinely. He's like acting out or something but quietly. I know an off behavior when I see one this is one. geez how do i deal with this guy. I've been ignoring but i want to confront him next time and say like "You look like you want to punch me" Idk this has to stop it makes me uncomfortable

How about asking him nicely, "Is something bothering you? Maybe I can help."

Some people just look pissed off all the time even if they're not (I'm one of them). Or he may be genuinely pissed off about something, and if it is you, he's now got a chance to tell you what it is and why. Maybe you can then work things out and the problem will be solved. If it isn't you, well... maybe it'll make him feel better if he can vent a little, and he won't be so pissed off.

:)

Well, definitely don't ask him that! LOL!

In addition to what mofomeat said, I would stick with the objective duties at hand. If he does not fulfill his duties during transport or hand-off, say "Could you please let me sign the patient off?" or whatever the issue may be.

You have grounds to ask that but not ask "Man, did you have a venti size cup of bastard this morning?" ;-)

That's hysterical! definitely stealing that one!

What does this "look" look like? How do you know this guy has the urge to punch you if he hasn't got his fists raised in a threatening manner with a look of distress on his face, and there hasn't been any dialogue between you to suggest an impending physical assault?

Perhaps your interpretation of his appearance is not right?

Your post title is hilarious lol, but anyway.....passive aggressive behaviors do make things awkward, and it probably isn't even directed toward you. He probably just isn't the happiest camper lol. He works hard, pushing patients all over the hospital, for not that much pay, so it could be job dissatisfaction, and if nobody ever bothers to learn his name and just calls him "transport" or "transport's here," that could probably make a person feel less than ideal.

I see that having potential to be a signature line on the other sites I use. (Can't have one here.)

Is his behavior markedly different towards you compared to other people? That would be a cause for concern. I agree with mofomeat -- try the polite yet direct approach first. How he reacts to that will tell you much. Hopefully he gets to air his grievances and it blows over. Oddly enough, a rocky start has led to some of my best friendly coworkers.

Maybe he is a vampire. Is his name Edward? ;)

Your preception of this Transporter is most likely the problem not the transporter..... I also have been accused of being angry, ****** off just by the facail expressions, body stance and in acutality I am not. Often this happens when I am busy, in deep concentration, and not in the mood to "goof around" with the staff...but I am no where near being angry or going to "punch" someone out. Just in a serious mood. So that is most likely your transporters "issue" . And so what if maybe he is an" angry person " as long as he doesn't express this toward patients or staff he has a right to not smile and be happy all the time or never if that is how he wants to be. If he makes physcial gestures toward you such as raising his hands in fist to hit you then leave him alone. The other alternative is to go to the head of the transporters and let them know of your concerns they may be able to but your mind to ease..this transporter may be a really nice person. Relax and get over it....these people volunteer their time therefore if he didn't want to be there because he is so unhappy , "angry" he doesn't have to be.

..."Man, did you have a venti size cup of bastard this morning?"...

Oh, this one gets printed out & put in my wallet! I do SO have to use it on someone...ROTFLMAO!:lol2:

I don't understand what your issue is. He hasn't actually done anything to you and you don't know him at all.You are really scared just because of a facial expression? You are judging a book by it's cover. Just because he is not a jolly chatty person doesn't mean he is planning on hurting you.Why would you assume that? One of my best friends has a very serious demeanor and conducts herself in a very correct precise manner. She is also a very caring person and a wonderful friend to others. Don't jump to conclusions.
