Taking Boards this morning at 10.

by Qween

Hello All,

I have been lurking since the beginning of my second year (when I found out about the site). I have found encouragement from peope here just reading the post and the responses. So many times, there was no need to post as someone was feeling exactly the same as i was all the time.

Today I will be taking the NCLEX. I am somewhat nervous but not to anxious. I have only been taking questions from Saunders since graduation on May 13. I took the exit HESI on May 12 and used Saunders to prepare for it (CD only). I just hope that I haven't sabatoged myself by not doing more.

I will return after I thake the NCLEX and let you guys know how I feel. I am sure that I will be no different than most of you with the post NCLEX stress. I just want to be like the majority of you and pass as well. Wish me luck!

Qween

Well,

I got to the testing center at 9:15 and was allowed to enter for my exam. I prayed for peace of mind and that my anxiety would be alleviated. It was. I thank God for that. I got a total of 92 questions and it took me one hour and twenty three minutes to take the exam including the tutorial. I FEEL SO STUPID AFTER THAT EXAM. There were so many things on there that I didn't know. So many questions tht I guessed on. I am almost positive in a way that I failed. I am holding out hope and faith in God that he answered my prayers and I passed. I am trying to accept that the feelings I am experiencing are normal post NCLEX stress.

Here goes . . I now have to endure the wait. I will post results good or bad. Thanks for the replies and encouragment!

I'm right there with you - took mine at 10 am this morning too. Mine shut off at 75 and I was out by 11am.

It was tough but, considering it is an adaptive test, I'm feeling pretty positive because it was tough. A lot of prioritizing which patients to assess first and identifying symptoms that take top priority. I believe they consider this type of question to be "difficult" and getting a lot of questions in this area is likely a good sign.

Best of luck!

I reallly hope that your analysis of the exam is right. I still feel really bad. Here in Arkansas we can't go to our State Board website and get results any earlier than 72 hours and there is a fee of $5 for that. Arkansas doesn't participate in Quick Results either so I am forced to wait it out. I am so bombed about this. I feel a little better than immediately after the exam but I still feel like I failed. I am so afraid that I will have to call my nurse manager of the job that I am to start later this month and tell her that I failed.

I hope this is just the normal jitters but I feel like the exam decided that I just couldn't hack it and booted me out at 82.

Still hanging on to a shred of hope. . .

I'm also waiting, took mine this morning, but was only there an hour, 75 questions. I hope I passed, but after question 30 or so, most of the questions were select all that apply, which are not at all easy for me. Good luck!

Hey,

I am in the same boat as you, mine cut off at 77 and I don't know what to think. I know I had a lot of high level questions but I really dont know what a low level question would have been. I am just nervous that I didn't pass but still Praying that I did. I can't wait until they send in my results.

I too took my boards today. I am hoping and praying that I passed. The test only took me about an hour and 15 minutes and it shut off after I had answered 75 questions.

I found I got a LOT of priority type questions and quite a few of select all that apply type questions. I only got one math question.

I hope my State board posts soon! I hate to go the weekend and not knowing if I passed or not.

Unhappy Re: Taking Boards this morning at 10.
I am getting more and more discouraged the more I read post on this site. I have noticed a pattern of people only getting 75 questions. I got 92 and I have only seen one or two people on these forums who have gotten in the 90's and only one of them passed. I AM SO CONVINCED I FAILED!!!!!!!

I know that there is a normal post NCLEX stress but I am not feeling to good about this seeing the information stated above. I really do hope that I am stressing for nothing and am wrong. Comments would help.
