Taking Boards this morning at 10.

Published

Hello All,

I have been lurking since the beginning of my second year (when I found out about the site). I have found encouragement from peope here just reading the post and the responses. So many times, there was no need to post as someone was feeling exactly the same as i was all the time.

Today I will be taking the NCLEX. I am somewhat nervous but not to anxious. I have only been taking questions from Saunders since graduation on May 13. I took the exit HESI on May 12 and used Saunders to prepare for it (CD only). I just hope that I haven't sabatoged myself by not doing more.

I will return after I thake the NCLEX and let you guys know how I feel. I am sure that I will be no different than most of you with the post NCLEX stress. I just want to be like the majority of you and pass as well. Wish me luck!

I think that brandie is right, it would shut off at 75 if terrible. As many other ppl keep posting, I don't think that the number of questions predicts pass or fail very well at all. I hope that we all did great :)

They already have the result right after we are finished, why not just like HESI, post it right then there. Why keep us waiting for the result and worry?

I am in the same boat as both of you! The computer shut off at 92 questions, or something like that. I felt okay coming out of the testing center, but now i'm convinced that i've failed after going through my notes. It would be nice to hear back from you girls. I'm going to have an M.I!!!!!!! But why would they keep us until 90 if we are doing terriable....it's would make more sense to shut it off earlier-around 75. Who knows. WRite back!

That was how I felt as well. They already know. Why not just tell us then.

This is so agonizing. I felt so badly, I called the Nurse Manager of the unit where I am to start working and told her that I took my boards but was feeling poorly about how I did. She reassured me that she would keep her word with the position pass or fail and that she thinks I passed. I felt better knowing that if I did fail I have a job still, I have to just take it again.

I really am hoping and praying that I passed.

I'll be here waiting with you. I just hope we can put this chapter of our nursing career to rest with a pass result!

Well the jury is in and thankfully I passed!

My computer shut off at 85, but it was an LPN test. W/ my experiencE ON my RN test, my computer shut off at 75, I failed. It was easier than my LPN test. A lot of select that applies & prioritization in my LPN test. I guess the more harder questions you are getting, the good chance of passing the test. W/ my failure on my Rn test, i encountered similar questions for 3x. I was pretty confident when I came out the test center that I will pass 'coz I was counting already my correct answers. But it doesn't apply that way. It is measuring the ability of the takers on how they did on the level of the difficult questions. Goodluck to all of us. Hopefully we can get the results in 2-3 working days, by Monday to Wednesday. Let me know CA takers if LPN results are posted already. I guess w/ RN website result in CA, it takes 2-3 days as well. GOD BLESS!

Well,

I just got the news earlier today! I PASSED!!!!!!!! Man I am so happy I can close this chapter in my life!

I studied all Spring the Saunders CD and when I graduated in May I attended the Kaplan's Seminar (At a huge discount because a lot of students from my school attended) and did the Kaplan's question trainer.

Qween -

Continue to think positive. I felt the same way when I took my PN and RN NCLEX. Test seemed difficulty - missed some questions, but thats what adaptive test is all about.

Number of questions don't matter, I have friends that had 200+ questions and passed.

I PASSED!!!!!

I tried to post on this thread that I passed yesterday but it didn't work!

I found out on the internet through Arkansas State Board of Nursing's Website (even though they said it was down) for a small fee.

I am soooooo relieved and excited. Thanks to all for your encouragement and support.
