  1. I graduated May 13, took my NCLEX June 1, found out I passed on June 3, and start work on June 26. Congratulations to all!!!!! Pamela "Queen" Royal, RN
  2. I passed with 92 questions. But I won't even attempt to ease your anxiety as nothing will do so but your results. Nothing anyone could say made me feel better. When it comes down to it, no matter what you say to rationalize, or what others say, numbers don't mean anything. Suzanne said it best. The problem is I just didn't want to except that. I wanted someone to tell me that I had passed with 92. I wasn't feeling encouraged at all seeing the numerous post from people who passed with 75. I was truly struggling. I wish you guys the best of luck and results soon so that your anxiety and frustration can be relieved. Pamela "Queen" Royal, RN
  3. I PASSED!!!!! I tried to post on this thread that I passed yesterday but it didn't work! I found out on the internet through Arkansas State Board of Nursing's Website (even though they said it was down) for a small fee. I am soooooo relieved and excited. Thanks to all for your encouragement and support. Pamela "Queen" Royal, RN:nurse:
  4. I'll be here waiting with you. I just hope we can put this chapter of our nursing career to rest with a pass result!
  5. That was how I felt as well. They already know. Why not just tell us then. This is so agonizing. I felt so badly, I called the Nurse Manager of the unit where I am to start working and told her that I took my boards but was feeling poorly about how I did. She reassured me that she would keep her word with the position pass or fail and that she thinks I passed. I felt better knowing that if I did fail I have a job still, I have to just take it again. I really am hoping and praying that I passed. Qween
  6. I am getting more and more discouraged the more I read post on this site. I have noticed a pattern of people only getting 75 questions. I got 92 and I have only seen one or two people on these forums who have gotten in the 90's and only one of them passed. I AM SO CONVINCED I FAILED!!!!!!! I know that there is a normal post NCLEX stress but I am not feeling to good about this seeing the information stated above. I really do hope that I am stressing for nothing and am wrong. Comments would help. Qween
  7. I reallly hope that your analysis of the exam is right. I still feel really bad. Here in Arkansas we can't go to our State Board website and get results any earlier than 72 hours and there is a fee of $5 for that. Arkansas doesn't participate in Quick Results either so I am forced to wait it out. I am so bombed about this. I feel a little better than immediately after the exam but I still feel like I failed. I am so afraid that I will have to call my nurse manager of the job that I am to start later this month and tell her that I failed. I hope this is just the normal jitters but I feel like the exam decided that I just couldn't hack it and booted me out at 82. Still hanging on to a shred of hope. . . Qween
  8. Well, I got to the testing center at 9:15 and was allowed to enter for my exam. I prayed for peace of mind and that my anxiety would be alleviated. It was. I thank God for that. I got a total of 92 questions and it took me one hour and twenty three minutes to take the exam including the tutorial. I FEEL SO STUPID AFTER THAT EXAM. There were so many things on there that I didn't know. So many questions tht I guessed on. I am almost positive in a way that I failed. I am holding out hope and faith in God that he answered my prayers and I passed. I am trying to accept that the feelings I am experiencing are normal post NCLEX stress. Here goes . . I now have to endure the wait. I will post results good or bad. Thanks for the replies and encouragment! Qween
  9. Hello All, I have been lurking since the beginning of my second year (when I found out about the site). I have found encouragement from peope here just reading the post and the responses. So many times, there was no need to post as someone was feeling exactly the same as i was all the time. Today I will be taking the NCLEX. I am somewhat nervous but not to anxious. I have only been taking questions from Saunders since graduation on May 13. I took the exit HESI on May 12 and used Saunders to prepare for it (CD only). I just hope that I haven't sabatoged myself by not doing more. I will return after I thake the NCLEX and let you guys know how I feel. I am sure that I will be no different than most of you with the post NCLEX stress. I just want to be like the majority of you and pass as well. Wish me luck! Qween
  10. "in most facilities, charging is the highest you will ever get to with an adn. so as you are charging over bsn & msn's but soon one of them will be your manager or administrator. so education does count in the long run, trust me." remember also, not everyone aspires to be an administrative nurse or an educator. that said, whether or not one seeks a bsn or higher (as related to rn's) depends on how far they want to go with their scope of practice. for the rn (diploma, adn) who is satisfied working on the floor or charge, i definitely see no reason for him/her to seek a bsn or higher. just my two cents. btw, i am only a nursing student in my senior year. i don't mean to come off in any way that is offensive. i am new to this site and thought i would give some input to the subject.
  11. I goofed trying to post the message. Sorry.
  12. Around my house we have referred to the lady parts as "too-too boo-boo," and "cookies." I have referred to erect nipples as "headlights, or high beams," :rotfl: when talking with my friends. I have heard the member called "woody.":roll Silly I know but hey, like someone said earlier, in common conversation saying the medical term seems somewhat awkward and draws more attention than the nicknames. 13. kimhaw and iwannabeanrn: Be sure to take a good look at the new clinical paperwork required for clinicals. There have been some changes. No longer will be have care plans. At least I don't see that required. We will have to identify 5 nursing diagnoses per clinical week. Ex: Altered Tissue Perfusion related to . . . .as evidenced by . . . . The paper work is definitely different but doable. Since we will have several patients this is better. The syllabus has us graduating on May 20, but the UALR schedule says May 13. There is just soo much information. Not to worry though. We will do fine. Queen
  14. There is a book for the Nurses Professional Role class also. Starting the reading is probably a good idea.
  15. Hey I am online now. Do you have Instant Messager? I use Yahoo, AOL IM and MSN. If you want stephanie, you and myself can chat somewhere and I can tell you what I found out. There is no distinct score for the HESI in the syllabus but I did see where if you have to take the second write and you made below 900 on any one category, you should study those areas for remediation. I am not sure whether 900 is the score we need or not. I did call XXXX at the office and ask her. She could not give me an answer. She will be calling me back. Our first exam is on February 2. I will start reading tonight. Pamela
