that test is such a self esteem crusher! and the fourty eight hour wait is a killer! i took the test on thursday and got 86 question (or 88, or 89...somewhere around there). i left the center feeling pretty good. until the LONG ride home... i started overanalyzing everything about it....why did i get 80 some questions instead of the BELOVED 75? why didnt they give me more? was it that i was doing so poorly that there was no way that i would ever get above the passing range? i ended up crying myslef to sleep the first night and having to sedate myslef the second in order to get any sleep. then came the waiting game today. for some reason the 900 number wasnt working. so i went online, braced myself, and looked for those four magic letters: pass. PASS?!?! I PASSED?!?. after all the heartache, the second guessing, the tears, i passed! i wish i could figure out how they grade the darn thing.

another thing that scared me is that from reading the other posts, a lot of people got a lot of priority and select all that apply questions. i got some priority, but not much, and only 2 selcet all that apply. somehow the nclex has a knack for testing you on your weakest subjects. mine are meds, and maternity. i figured i was getting so many questions on them cuz i was doing so poorly.

for those waiting to take the nclex, i thought kaplan really helped me out. it helped me to eliminate 2 questions and pick the best out of the remaining 2. something that really helped me was thinking "if i had to do one thing and then go home, what would be the best outcome?". just try to relax, when you feel like you're in over your head (i told myself "i will be successful, i will pass"). after you take the exam, the 48hr wait is the worse, so try and keep yourself busy.

I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, AND THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!!

Congratulations! I know all those emotions are awful. I'm going through the exact same thing right now! What a relief it must be to know that you passed and don't have to do this again! :)

Congratulations! I wish you well in everything you do.
