Hi, try the NCLEX discussion forum.

Since you plan on taking it on the 30th...there really is no time to focus on one plan. I suggest just practicing questions at this point.

If you're having a hard time getting a feel for the content, it might save you money (and ultimately time) to wait a little longer to test. If you push back the date, you can obtain an NCLEX study guide (Saunders publishes great ones) and work through it.

This is how I prepared for the NCLEX. I graduated on March 30th, and scheduled the exam the first week in June. Once I graduated, I hit the books. I used Saunders with the cd, and NCLEX made incredibly easy. I started with the subjects that I had a little trouble in school. I studied every night for 2 hours. Once I finished both books, I used the practice cd. I took the books everywhere I went. I also worked full time during school and would study on my lunch breaks. You may want to reschedule the exam in order to study more.

Good luck!!!!!

do lots and lots of questions. That is what I did. Every time id come past a questions that I had no idea i'd determine why i missed and fix the problem..for example if it was a lack of knowledge on what the disease was then id go to one of my books and review that subject. If it was a priority question then id break it down and figure out why that pt was the priorty. Id do about 300 questions at a time and all through the test id jot down things i didnt rememver then id review them. Ijust kept doing this for awhile and it worked:) Passed on tuesday!

I noticed that you posted this on 11/21...and if you are planning to take NCLEX on 11/30, this may not be a wise decision if you have not already been studying. There are some folks that just know how to ace a test...if you are one of them, that is great, but if your confidence is low, I would really consider rescheduling and finding one good book to concentrate on. For each person, that is different. Some find that Saunders or Kaplan works for them, others use Lippincott, the one line thing, etc... and what works for one does not always work for the other. If you reschedule, find ONE and stick to it and stay away from all of the many suggestions you may receive because this may overwhelm you.

I really agree with you...it may be too soon, if this is to happen by next week...
