I just took the NCLEX - PN, my thoughts. - page 19

I feel like burning most the LVN review books I bought as they did me no good what-so-ever on the NCLEX. The questions I got came out of left field. Stuff that wasn't taught in school like post... Read More

No. They don't let anyone know but you, with that letter you receive.

Yeah, no "hall of shame" pictures, thankfully.

ok, so heres my thing, i took my test today, had 89 questions, think i got the last one right, and a majority of the others, honestly i had difficulty with...so, what the heck does that mean? i mean, it was an easy question, which ment i probably had been getting a lot wrong up to that point, so if i gotthe last one right, why would it cut off if i failed? youde think the way its set up i would have passed...im stressed out. so if you fail, what does the internet/phone say, if youre not in a quick result state?

This is my first time on the site I hate to hear how everyone has stress after taking the NCLEX-PN but i took it today and I'm right there with ya!!This site has made me feel a little less sick and calmed me down just a little. Mine cut off at 85 and I also feel like i failed!! We do have the quick result option here in TN and i will be checking within 48 hours. If i had to wait 3-4weeks i would go nuts!!! Congrats on all who have passed and i sit quietly waiting !

Three classmates of mine have passed with 89 questions (this month). Of those three, one thought the test was easy and the other two were sure they had failed. Keep in mind, easy to one person is hard to another! Hope that can bring you some comfort. Best of luck and prayers to you!

i took my test first thing yesterday (5/15/07) morning and the test stopped at 110 questions. i was sure i had failed. i didn't know many of the cultural postmortem questions as well as a few meds, but used what i did know to make reasonable guesses. it must have worked, because my name is now posted on our state's website with a license number issued! you did fine...just believe in yourself (like i took my own advice )

    best of luck,

I think the culture questions were not counted, as all my classmates got them, and we all had no clue what the answers were..but all of us passed.

I strongly suspect that some of the medication questions were not counted in my case, because there were quite a few that I really didn't know. The ones I didn't know were not common meds that we spoke of in classes, or suggested by the review class that I took. Either way, I did pass, so, I am glad that nightmare is over.
