Hi to all...My name is Kathy and I have just relocated to Owasso from Edmond. I was a charge LPN at an assisted living/memory care unit in Oklahoma City. I am also one of the "older" girls that went back to school to complete my schooling. Went back to school at 52yo and absolutely loved it. So glad to meet all of you here!!!

Miss Kitty, The worst clinical site I had was at Edmond Medical Center at the bariatric weight surgery center. The nurses were so hateful to the students. Thought I would never outlast that rotation. In fact, I can't think of one good clinical that any of us had at Edmond. My favorite was at Mercy. I was on the third floor and most of the nurses were just fantastic. Learned so much from a certain CNA. She was a delight and taught me so much about patient care. I will always remember the things she taught me. Where are you in school?

Have a quick questions please... Maybe I am not "catching" something here re Platt. How can you bridge LPN-RN in one year, if you don't have any pre-reqs? Or must you have the pre-reqs for admission? Thanks...

Poohbear, I know when I took the NCLEX, we were given a number we could call at Pearson for results...I think the charge was $10. It was definitely worth my sanity... Good luck to you...

Hi there Lucky, Here is just a thought...Why not get your BSN from Oklahoma City University. They have a program there for people who already have an undergraduate degree and are wanting to change professions. I believe the school time is about 18 months. So check it out, Oklahoma City University and the Kramer School of Nursing. Wish you the best...
