I just interviewed for a CNA job (my first ever) and my hopefully-soon-to-be manager said that I could basically wear what ever kind of scrubs I wanted. So what are some good scrub colors for dudes? I was going to go with mostly solid colors, but I really don't know what will look acceptable. At this establishment, the various professions aren't color-coordinated either, so that's not an issue. What color/type scrubs do you guys wear (especially as CNA's)?

Oh! And what about pockets? I figured they'd be handy but a fellow male nursing student gave me crap for pockets (something about guys not wearing scrubs with pockets...?). Thoughts?

Cheers!

"Acceptable"?? I would say any color you like is acceptable, barring restrictions or requirements in the employer's dress code.

any guys I've worked with I've mostly seen in darker colors, navy, burgandy, black but have also seen white and ceil blue. but like elkpark said anything you are comfortable in and is acceptable with the dress code

If there are no restrictions to your scrubs, I would simply chose a color you feel comfortable in... although pink may be pushing it a bit.. ;)

I have tons of pockets on my scrubs, all on my legs though. Pockets on your stomach is not for me, but hey, if you like 'em..

whenever i get a choice i wear the solid light blue scrubs, looks good on me, ha.

Royal blue, dark green, black, gray, tan, burgundy, red, light blue, etc...As long as your employer does not impose any restrictions go with what make you feel comfortable.

That would be my whites.

Oh, I might as well face it. My big butt makes my butt look big.

As to the OP, wear what you like. And wear tops with pockets, and cargo pants. http://www.tafford.com has a nice line for men and http://www.marcusuniforms.com carries male-specific stuff as well.
