Whether or not I was an RN or a dump truck driver, I would still devote time to my workout routine. It would most likely be implemented in different ways, but being it's part of my lifestyle, I would always do it.

I fail to see how your choice of career would influence your fitness level.. Whether or not you're fit, is a lifestyle choice you make.

If someone introduces him/herself by saying "Hi, my name is Doctor Smith" - I instantly loose a bit of respect for them. Now and then I'll reply "Oh wow, I had no idea Doctor was a first name now". (I know I'm a rebel). Or I would say "Well hi there, my name is Nurse Browning" - just to make them realize it sounds stupid (at least to me). I much prefer a close work environment with the physicians and absolutely prefer being on a first name basis with them.

Even Aspirin can show up on urine tests as Opioids.

I use a $2 LCD flashlight from Walmart.. Works like a charm and should I loose it or break it, I couldn't care less.. Also, it's much smaller than any other flashlights out there, fits perfectly in any pocket or you can clip it to your badge.

I think we've all had those. If I get a sense that the patient would prefer a female nurse for what ever procedure, I always offer to get one for them. Most times they simply acknowledge the sensitivity of the situation and refuses.

I am simply suggesting you select the battles you want to fight, 'cus fighting all the time will only get you expelled... but if that's your way of dealing with confrontations, be my guest - I couldn't care less... Why? maybe because you come across as a hothead??

I would ask them to setup a video camera and record the stunt of their mom falling to the floor. Then submit the video to Americas Funniest Videos.. maybe you can win $10k?? he he:jester: Seriously, tell that ignorant family that if she falls again, THEY have to pick her up. You have many years of work ahead of you and rely on the health of your back. If she falls again, I would flat out refuse to touch her.

If there are no restrictions to your scrubs, I would simply chose a color you feel comfortable in... although pink may be pushing it a bit.. I have tons of pockets on my scrubs, all on my legs though. Pockets on your stomach is not for me, but hey, if you like 'em..

Going through any schooling, being completely upfront and verbal about how you feel, can be a bad idea. Remember you need to pass certain tests. No matter where you work and what you do, you will encounter people who'll **** you off. If I were you, I would work on self control. You'll go much further in your career, when able to control yourself and your emotions better.
