I am looking for a light to medium weight jacket with elastic on the cuffs. It can be any material, prefer zip front, hoodie or not, but the cuffs must hold their elasticity as I pull them up and down hundreds of times each day. Any recommendations...
There is a job opening at the county school. The population at this school ranges from children with autism to severe physical problems. It would be more in depth nursing than a general elementary school, but way different than what I'm doing right...

That makes me feel sick thinking I spent that much money on a pair of Ariats when I could have gotten Danskos and the Ariats are probably already shot. I usually don't work 2 days in a row (my schedule is a "flex" position so I'm filling holes in th...
I've never had a pair of Danskos, but bought something that the shoe salesman said was very similar called an Ariat. They were extremely comfortable for the first 6 months that I had them. I could work 12 hours and my feet and back felt great. Now I ...
I have worked in Healthcare for 3 years but never had a need to carry a bag before I became an RN. Now that I'm an RN I find I have a lot more stuff that I carry to work with me. We don't have lockers in the dept I work in so whatever I need I have t...

Do you mind me asking when you took the NCLEX? I'm in WI too and have heard that people get results anywhere from 8 hours to 3 days after taking it. The people who had results in 8 hours took it in late Sept, the others were in December or January.
I took NCLEX this morning and this wait is killing me. I mentioned doing the PVT thing to my hubby and he said "don't you dare do that". I'm terrified the results will be false and I'll either be devastated or thrilled wrongly. I plan to do the quick...

I do that when I take a test too. I will come home tomorrow after taking the NCLEX and seriously have no idea what any of the questions were about. I was that way in school too. It seemed like after a test in school there were people standing arou...

Thanks for the advice! And good luck to you tomorrow npham82! Did you think the level of difficulty of the questions on NCLEX was comparable to the ATI questions?
I take the NCLEX on Monday morning. I have been off of work since last Tuesday and have been studying non-stop since then. I did the NCLEX mastery RN app on my phone. According to that I got 65.9% correct out of 1571 questions. I also have done m...

I worked as a Tech for 3 years in the ED before I started my RN intern position there. We had to be licensed as an EMT to work there and a lot of my day was spent doing IVs. We were called to other floors a lot to start IVs when the RN couldn't get...

We had another Extern in our department about a year or so ago. She worked one on one with one of the RNs for months before they started letting her take patients all by herself and even then because she wasn't licensed yet, they always checked her ...
I have worked at my current job for 3 years, first as a Tech and now as an Extern. I graduated in December and am waiting for school to push the paperwork through so I can take the NCLEX. When I'm licensed I'm supposed to be hired at my current job...
I have to write a dedication for my pinning ceremony for nursing. It's supposed to be about a minute long and they say 2-3 sentences. I want to say something about my family and friends and all of their support. I want to thank my inlaws for all o...
