I was just reading a Thread fo Hourly rates for LPN's and realized that it was from 2000. I could not believe how low they were! So I'm from MA, I currently work in a Nursing Home I have Associate Degree in Nursing. My hourly rate for a shift 3-11 is 24.50/hr, On weekend is 25.25 as new grad. For LPN is 19.00/HR new grad. On Sep 8th I will be working in a Hospital and I will be making 28.50/hr 3-11shift and after 6months it goes up .50cents/hr. I think is pretty good considering that I will be considered as a new grad in Acute medical floor. I graduated in june of 2007, so I don't have any experience at all when it comes to acute.

let me know your hourly rate and your state! Just curious!!!:nurse:

Anyone know what the base rate is for Virginia for LPN...Graduating April 2009

My facility pays 21.50 FT for a new grad LPN and 24 PRN. Not sure how that rates against other facilities in NOVA but our benefits are superior to most and our work environment is definitely superior so even if they pay more I doubt it is a fair trade.

New RNs = 30

CNAs = 11.50

Central California - we start our new RN grads at $34.00/hr.

LPN's in CT, per diem $27.00/hr. shift diff 3-11 $1.25 and shift diff 11-7 $2.50. Hourly rates with benefits range from $21-$28/hr

I work as a CNA at a Nursing Home in Destin, Florida. My base pay during the week is $11.63 and on the weekend is is $13.69. My mother works as a CNA at a Nursing home in Gulf Breeze, Florida and she makes $12.80 an hour.

Specializes in Management, LTC, AL, Home Health.

I work as an ADON in LTC facility. I have 21 years of experience and am probably a little under paid at $28.60/hr. I think the DON is probably making around $34/hr. Supervising RNs $22-25. Staff RNs around $22-20 and LPNs $17-20/

where would you suggest is the best place to look for part-time RN's?

BC Canada

Rates the same for hospital/LTC

RN--I think starting $28-$36

LPN--$23.75

Care Aid (equiv to CNA I believe) $21.?? (don't know the change)

Shift diff: $0.95/hour evenings and weekends

$1.60/hour nights

I believe the shift diffs are the same for RN, LPN, Care aids, but I could wrong as I've never seen an RN or Care aid pay stub.

this is my ltc facility (county owned) in central new jersey:

rn (new grad) = $28-$30 per hour (3-11 shift)

lpn (new grad) = $23-$24 per hour (3-11 shift)

cna = about $10.50 per hour

also, excellent medical/dental benefits (no copays for anything except $3 for any prescription). no medical benefits deduction just union dues ($26/pay period-biweekly). gets 3x pay for holidays. so on labor day, thanks giving eve/day, christmas eve/day, new year eve/day, etc...i'll make $90/hour. :smokin:

you guys should also factor the benefits when calculating the pay.
