Will you be carrying them from class to class the "old fashioned way" or do you have a book bag, etc?

"the old fashioned way" definatley! I just strap them up in that leather belt and sling it over my shoulder! Hahahah! No really...I have WAY too much junk to carry them. I have a really nice "saddle bag" that can accomodate EVERYTHING! It also has a choice of a shoulder strap or backpack straps. I've noticed a new trend of late where people are using wheeled backpacks. I think I would feel like I was always late for a flight with that...it reminds me of carry on luggage! :)

I am going today to put a deposit on my locker. They are located perfectly for all my classes, so it works out well. I do use a large back-pack, I just pull out the books I need and put everything else in my locker. I noticed most younger students just carry their back-packs with them to each class. That's too much hastle for me. I'd lose two inches by the end of the semester; I'm short enough as it is!

:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle mine actually IS a small luggage pull along!

ours is a commuter college with no locker availability and i started with way too many books to fit in a simple backpack. now for the last 2 quarters i have only had 1 book per class so i invested in a canvas briefcase of sorts with a shoulder strap.

overall i would say that i like the roll along better though.

oversized backpack ... my husband thinks i am nuts carrying around that much weight.

Back pack does it for me... When I look at some of the back packs that children in elementary school carry... I stop whinning! lol!

with the size of some of the books and the quanity, i don't think a back pack would be good for me at least. the "old" back is not hurting and i don't want it too start :) i have to see this weekend what i will be getting.

I just bought a messenger bag. It's the kind with the flap, one wide strap, etc. Do you know what I mean? I bought the biggest one I could find. Might not be the best thing for the back, but you never know what you will need to tote around! I've never used a backpack for school, actually. Always preferred the shoulder-type bags. The backpacks with the rollers seem a lot easier to use, but how would I be able to sneak up on anyone with it? :)

I use a school bag, not a back pack. Large enough to fit books, lunch, water, etc..lol.. It has a long strap and/or handles for carrying.

where do you get the "school bag" from or do you actually mean a bag purchased at your school? help me, so i will know. ;)

Well for the past few semesters I have been using a backpack and carrying heavy things on my back up and down stairs since we have stairs at my school but now that I have the common sense and decided that I may still be young but I may pay for this later when I am older I am going to get one of those backpack on wheels from walmart or target and wheel my stuff around.

One woman in my class uses one of those small suitcase/luggage bags with the wheels and the plastic handle that you can push in or pull out.

She is definately the smartest person in our class, as carrying around our 20 pound anatamy book in my saddle bag actually made me throw my back out a few weeks ago.
