So has anyone ever been up all night knowing you have a test in the morning. But somehow you just can't study and stop caring about the test? I think with these weekly tests I have exam burnout. :o Any cures?

I hear ya! I get sick and tired sometimes of all the tests and b/c but I know that in the end it will pay off. It's funny because sometimes when I am in between courses I actually don't know what to do with myself (well sorta). I feel like I should be studying.

Take a break if it's getting really bad and keep reminding yourself that you will be finished and have a degree or certificate to show for it.

I am so glad I am not the only who is feeling burnt out! I try to study but my brain keeps telling "no way"! I can't wait till this semester is over! I only have 3 more tests too go, I can't mess those up now when I am doing so well! :p

Burn out. Fer shure. Only thing that keeps me going sometimes is the quote from Finding Nemo: "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

I'm almost done. I've come so far and it's almost over. I've busted my behind for the past couple years to do this, and THAT keeps me going, even when I get so burned out I want to work at a pet shop instead of finishing nursing school.

Best wishes to everyone else in this situation. We can DO this!

Somehow I survived yesterday...

Drug calc test 8 am, then class till 12:30... then my groups skills eval from 12:30 - 4:00!!!

I passed both!!!

I think we're all burntout!! Especially by this point in the semester. We have all of our exams on Tuesdays, so that means I have to spend ALLLL weekend studying! We have an exam (in one class or the other) pretty much every Tues. So basically every weekend this semester I've spent studying, UGH. This past Tues. we had an exam, and I was just so sick of studying on the weekend....I studied a lot, but not as much as I had for previous tests, and I still got an 86! I'm happy with that. Some exams you're going to study for more than others, but just keep at it. Like Maire said .... "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" ~Nemo. And I always think of good ole Winston Churchill's quote of "if you're going through hell, keep going!" Nursing school and all this studying sure feels like hell sometimes....... just keep going and you'll be done soon!

And great job, checkers!!

YES I HAVE!!! LOL

I have an exam Monday, and had all day today (and this upcoming weekend too, which is good) to study, and what did I do?

Watched my Tivo'd recordings of Survivor, CSI and ER. Tsk, tsk, I know! But I just could NOT get into studying today.

I promise I will tomorrow and Sunday. Heck, I'm even going to do some tonight (if I get off of here!) LOL

What are you talking about a test every week? Geez, we have a test everyday and at least one pop quiz a week! Not to mention check offs, usually 2 a week

Oh boy. I guess I really can't talk! A test everyday! That is beyond crazy. 359.gif

A test every day?!?!? YIKES!

I'm taking 2 classes and each class has a test every other week (once every 2 weeks), on alternating Tuesdays.... so that means we have a test every Tues. But these are major exams, worth 90% of our total final grade!!

These tests that you have EVERY DAY, must not be major exams....!?

Love the quote. I've watched "Finding Nemo" countless times. :)
