In search of a nursing buddy

I'm in search of a nursing buddy/friend to keep in contact with this semester. Someone to keep in contact with about the stresses of nursing school, study tips etc.

Specializes in Critical Care, ED, Cath lab, CTPAC,Trauma.
I did take the HESI this spring, and unfortunately I did not pass. The program I'm in requires you to pass the HESI with at least an 800 and I unfortunately only got 711. Therefore I am unable to continue onto my senior year. So this semester I have to take a remediation course: Core concepts in nursing and retake the HESI in December. If I pass I'll continue onto my senior year if not, I will have to take a semester off from the program which is what you have to do in that case. I was looking for a pen pal that in the same year or someone who is going through the same thing to keep in touch with to exchange positive advice etc. I definetly dont mind giving advice to 1st year students etc. The more help you get the better especially in nursing. Not passing has definitely changed my life and I'm just trying to move forward from it and continue to stay positive and pass this semester.
((HUGS)) we are here to help you

I could use a buddy to keep in contact with also. My ADN program starts today at 8am.

Specializes in Psychiatry.

I'm in my first semester of a BSN program. I would love to be buddies with someone!

I'm in! I'm also in an accelerated program... Going into med-surge and pharmacology Monday. It would be great to have someone to vent, talk, and share study habits with.

I could use a nursing buddy as well. I'm in my second semester now and I did horrible on my first exam in Adult Health 1. I can't really give advice because I am struggling myself, but I can take advice however and I also just want others to talk to about nursing school. Although I have a great support system (parents and boyfriend) they can never understand what I go through as a nursing student.

Specializes in NICU.

I'm in my last semester of nursing school (98 days till graduation and that beautiful BSN!) good luck you all it goes by so quickly (which in most cases is good haha). You'll meet some awesome people if you need help I'd be happy to assist ❤️

How is everyone doing or adjusting to their programs. I started on the 2nd and I can admit the course load is no joke. But I'm definitely up for the challenge because this is what I really want. Good Luck to everyone and I hope we all can keep our communications going when time permits

My first week was a lot as well! I started with adult health and pharmacology. It's def a lot! But like Nikki said above, I'm up for the challenge because this is my dream. I'm a little afraid of Adult Health though :( it's so much, and it's taking me so long to read ONE chapter. Anyone have any study ideas for adult health/ medsurge?

I'd love a nursing buddy! I am in my second semester of nursing school. Going to be a hard semester!

Specializes in Psychiatry.

I thought I was getting into the swing of things, and my load has definitely lightened up compared to the first 2 weeks. But now that I realize I have 4 exams and a skills validations in a 2 week period, I'm kind of freaking out again

Specializes in None yet..
I could definitely use a buddy/friend to keep in contact. I start my first semester of an accelerated bsn program next week

I'm starting an ADN program in a few days and hoping to transfer to an ABSN program at the end of my first year in the associate program. (I'll still have my ADN at the end of the same time period if the ABSN program turns me down.)

I'd like online buddies and I also like the idea of keeping it on AllNurses so others can benefit from our experience.

I'm always interested in supporting students... I'm kind of a frustrated teacher at heart... If you set up some kind of closed group or something, let me know... I might be interested in participating.
