I'm Addicted!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nursing Students General Students

............to Echo Heron's book "Critical Care".

I just got it yesterday and started reading it today (while at work, hey, it's slow!) and I can't put it down!!!!

It's a great book. If you are looking for something to read this summer make some time for this book.

It is truly an inspiring book, makes you cry at points, makes you laugh at points, makes you believe in the profession and gives hope. And, I'm only on chapter 6. Can't wait to finish it.

oooooh... sounds like a good read ! Thank you !

I bought all three of her books about a month ago...I had hoped to have them finished before this semester got going, but that never happened, so about the only time I have to read now is while I'm working out...but at least I've finished the first one (Intensive Care? I can't even remember now!) and am about half way thru the 2nd one. So far they've been a great read...I'm inspired!

I just got done reading "Just a Nurse" (?author). It was published in 1987 I think, but it was still a good book. It tells the story of a bunch of different nurses in all different fields of nursing. Even talks about the effects of alcoholism in the industry and is very interesting that some of the things that the industry is having problems with today started back then. Interesting, especially if you are just getting into nursing so you can kind of get a sense as to what some nurses are going through.

I also just got another one from the library today called "Breathe little boy breathe", about an emergency room doctor's story. I'll let you know how that one is when I'm done.

I have read "Tending Lives" and really enjoyed it.

I've read all her books . . .the first one about nursing school 5 years ago in the summer before I started!! Scared me to death.

Her books are great! (love the characters . . . they make you laugh and cry - one stands out and that is the nurse who named her breasts, even to the point of having the names embroidered on her bra)

I loved them all. She's awesome!!

I picked up Intensive Care by Echo Heron at Borders last week and I plan to finish the book tomorrow. It is a very wonderful book and I think if you have the time all nurses and nursing studnets should read it.

Dolt!!!

I mean the title of the Book is "Intensive Care" not "Critical Care". Sorry bout that.

If you are starting clinicals this summer or fall definately fit this book in.

I'm gonna have to get one and read it. I haven't had time to read lately...

Thanks for the suggestions! :)

Julie
