How is it that so many of you are able to post so often?

I never seem to have a spare minute when I am in school but yet I see so many of you that post alot while in school. I guess I must be slow or old. It takes me so much time to study, care for my family, look after the house, drive the kids all over creation and go to school that I rarely if ever post during the semester. How do all of you find the time and then keep your grades so high on top of it. truly amazing!:)

I think one of the reasons I post/read often is because I have a laptop, I'm also wireless so it makes it much easier to log on. Thanks to hubby, my new PDA is also wireless and I can log on from that device as well.

For your birthday I'm gonna enroll you in a 12 STEP PROGRAM for techno junkies!!!

WELL, my kids can drive themselves, my school is online and my house looks like a bomb went off most days so I guess that would be the difference. Now I start my first clinical rotation this semester in addition to classes and a full time job so we'll just see how much time I have to be addicted to this BB then won't we, LOL.

Oh and I type really fast too!

Keep things in perspective, we are all at different stages of our family/lives and for each of us our responsibilities (or neglecting them which may be my case) are very different.

do you think i could go to the online meeting?

i know, everybody around here is always teasing me about my puter. heck, hubby is the one who set me up with this whole thing and let me tell you when he does something, he does it big.

My excuse is that classes haven't started for me yet. I haven't set the world on fire posting but I'm trying to get in the habit of posting and reading regularly.

This just looks to be one of the greatest resources out there for someone in or entering the field!

I'd hate to think about what would happen if I were without my laptop:eek:

Being on the bb is very relaxing, I enjoy reading everyone's posts.

Hiya Mona.......all i can say is ditto, ditto, ditto! i have a new laptop that I purchased for school and my brand new PDA as well. I was a secretary for 30 years before starting nursing school in August and I am used to computers and type really well. And you're absolutely right...this is a relaxing web site. I sit here with my 1st cup of coffee in the a.m. with my laptop and this is the first website I visit (after reading my emails).

Oh well.....but today I must read and study for my first few lectures coming up on Monday.

Cheers!

I usually check in & post at work. :imbar

RN2be:

- I am at a software-development job all day - with access to the Internet a button click away. It takes me less than a second to bounce from a work screen over to the Internet and back.

- I try to keep my time online around 3 or 4 minutes. Otherwise, I would be on all day. Yes, I have procrastinated by spending the entire day surfing. That's how I spent New Year's Day. Remember, I packed the T.V. up before I started A&P101 back in June.

pretty simply put....I'm spoiled. My BF cleans and cooks, I don't work so I do get a lot of free time. However, I will admit my BF dosn't touch my laundry, once he realized it was expensive to replace the clothes I bought he stopped. He was nice to try:roll

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

it's a "getaway" for me to come and read about how others are doing. i find if i just read and don't post during school, i am on here less. once posting begins it take so much time.

sometimes, even if time permits, i don't feel like posting.

I don't have nearly as many posts as many of you do but I am beginning to recognize names:roll

I to have become addicted to this site. Birds of a feather they say!!!!

I have 18 hours starting next week so I won't be on as often but I will be peeking every chance I get!!!

Specializes in OB, lactation.

I am on the internet way too much, I admit. But I guess I do it because it's the only thing I can veg out on that's cheap & that I can do while keeping an eye on my kids (the computer is where I can see everything), cooking dinner, etc. I am usually doing schoolwork on another screen anytime I'm on here as well (and 4 of my 7 credits will be online this semester). I'm don't watch much TV at all so I guess it's sort of my version of TV time.

Also, I love seeing what everyone has to say about nursing. I'm always in a rush when I'm at school - I don't really get to hang out and just talk to people in my program much -got to get home when the kids are on the babysitter's (my) dime. A lot of times I just leave the computer on and jump on and off through the day if I'm home.
