How much did your nursing program cost overall? (LPN, ADN, BSN, etc.)

Hi everyone! I am curious to how much you all had to pay to get your nursing in licensure. I am asking this because their are certain nursing programs I would like to attend, but I'm very apprehensive on paying well over 60,000 for a BSN or any other diploma/associates/degree.

Or should I just focus more on the quality of the education? Because I live in the heart of Chicago and there's no close BSN program near me that isn't below the cost of 60,000+.

Look into community colleges. They're usually much cheaper.

A lot of them only offer 2-year ASN, but you can easily do an online BSN bridge program.

My 2 year ADN was about 9k with all books, uniforms and prereqs. 60k is crazy. I would go for ADN then bridge online to BSN....could be done for 20k total or less ;)

My ADN through a junior college is costing about $11K. The RN-BSN bridge I plan on attending is about another $10K. That includes all the pre-reqs, books, uniforms, etc for both programs.

My alma mater costs over $60k per year. So current students are spending close to $250K for a BSN degree. I got mine for around $150K, graduated with $90K in debt.

My university was about $34k a year (so $135k+ after meal plan, etc) but through merit-based financial aid, I was able to graduate with approximately $27k in student loans. I've paid 85% of them off over the past 4 years. I would have written the school off based on price alone if I hadn't investigated financial aid first, which made it very affordable.

My ADN program is only costing me $5,000 which includes tuition ($46/unit), books, and uniforms. I am attending an ADN program in Southern California and I am also attending an RN-BSN program at the moment too. The ADN program does not have class in the summer term, but they have a relationship with a local university which allows us to get a head start on our BSN before we have an RN license. It seems to work out really well. I wish you the best of luck!

Community colleges r usually cheaper but here in NYC, they make u take non nursing related classes. I go to a semi-private school n the tuition for associates is around $25/yr for 2 yrs. that's not including the pre-req which has to b taken from other schools.
