I know I am not the only one who is sick to death of looking at a nursing textbook. I have to share this, so bear with me...
Thursday evening after a 7-hr clinical day I picked up a couple girl friends and went to a taping of Emeril Live! (that cooking guru, the BAM! guy, if you know who I'm talking about, cool, if not, humor me here)...my goodness what a destressor this was! For 2 hours we smelled his food, tasted his food, yelled and screamed and cheered and danced and BAM!ed and had SUCH a good time. I think even after only 4 weeks of this second semester I needed this bad. Look for me on November 16th at 9pm on the Food Network; I'm the goofy redhead in the pink flowered shirt.
Am I the only one who needed to do SOMETHING *NOT* related to nursing school?? How do you all destress??
*hugs* to my fellow students!

That is totally cool, Marie! I used to watch him a lot, but then school happened.
I'll try & catch your episode!
WHat did he make...and was it good? I've eaten at a couple of his restaurants. Awesome food.

I love the Food Network! I watch it to destress. That sounds like it was so much fun.

Join the club. but for me I am taking a mental health week. I am looking after my injured sister until Friday when her hired help will be there to look after her. Until next week there is no nursing school for me. I hope I don't get into too much trouble but my family will always come first.

I'll be watching for you on Emeril! I love watching him and would love to taste some of his creations. That would be a great destressor for sure. When I get stressed, I usually get out of the house and go visit someone or go shopping to get my mind out of the books for a change.

ROFLOL, too too funny
I am destressing this weekend. I haven't figure out how yet, but I am doing something for myself without the kids, without the nursing books, and maybe even without the hubby, lol.

Can't wait too see you on Emril!!
I destressed this weekend by being in my best friends wedding. Flew up to Half Moon Bay CA ( by San Fran) and had a blast. We had our hair and makeup done, girls slumber party and just had 4 whole days of partying in a VERY fancy hotel. Wish I could do that every weekend.
