I don't know what has come over me. All I want to do is sleep. Clinical days aren't so bad, but those lecture days... :o Then of course you have all the mid-year drama that probably should be expected. Things have gotten so intense between people that just this past week two people were suspended. One of the students has been written up previously because of a seperate altercation-but in that incident she actually shoved the other person. Yet she still came back. Another of our classmates was expelled the same week because she failed a subject by two points...wherein three others also failed that subject but are still there. In clinical two weeks ago I was put on clinical probation because my patient's bed was in high position unattended, but a CNA did it before I even went into the room. To make that situation worse-the teacher KNEW I didn't do it. It happened to three other students in the same day :angryfire During lectures this really obnoxious woman sits two rows behind me and spends her time talking loudly, passing notes, and talking about me and others in the class. :stone Wouldn't bother me so much if she hadn't started passing notes to my friend who sits directly behind me. Makes me paranoid, and now I don't fully trust my friend from fear that she is talking about me too.

I am feeling I am borderline expulsion myself now that the teachers are cracking down, because of my attendance- but I think I should be okay since I have not gotten an attendance probation letter. One of my friends withdrew because of the pressure she was getting from faculty to withdraw before they were forced to expell her. :o :o :o I am so ready for this to be over. The courses aren't really hard, clinical is fun but stressful since I haven't been in healthcare before. No, the real difficulty is dealing with this dread of getting up every morning, fighting the fatigue, and trying to ignore the drama.

So sorry you are having a hard time. I wish I had some advice for you. Hopefully someone will come along soon with some words of wisdom... my brain is not functioning well right now!

I know I am feeling overwhelmed, too. I had to miss two clinical days this week and I am concerned what will happen to me. Fortunately, this semester is almost over for me, how about you? Do you have a break coming up soon so you can regroup and get some rest?

Take care,

All that for an LPN program? Sounds like the stress is getting to people. I believe in finishing what I start, so there's no way I'm going to not complete my RN studies, but I'm starting to be unfaithful to my career...found myself looking at the accounting courses in my school's college catalog...

((Hugs)) to you! How much longer until this semester is over? It's got to be soon... count down the days, maybe this will help. Of course try to make it to the rest of theory....

I wish I was where you are now Jen - I am year 2 - 1/2 finished - All I can think about is going to Florida for the winters when I finally graduate!!!

Good grief, how old are these note passing, talking about others, people? Sounds more like high school instead of college.

Don't worry about everyone else, just concentrate on you, because when it really comes down to it, it doesn't matter what they do, only what you do.

Good Luck

I am so sorry that you are having a rough time. I am exhausted with school also. I have two finals this week and I am done. I hope that your break is coming soon also so that you can refresh your mind. Pray for peace and just let it all go, friend.

Wow, do you go to Drama University? Sounds like your classmates are rather petty. Stay away from the gossip & troublemakers, it's not worth your time.

That being said - I can't complain about lectures or clinicals - I have no more more. Only 2 exams left & I am finished! Well, until I go for the BSN online, but that won't be for at least 6 mos-1 yr at least (whenever I'm eligible for my employer to pay for it).

Good luck to you all!!!!!!!!! :balloons:

YAY Jen you are done! I remember seeing you when you first joined! hee hee! Well, I am going into my 6th semester. (2nd semester of year 3) I am so exhausted and burnt out, I came home from clinical on thursday, cried and went to bed! At 1700 h I went to n=bed and slept until I had to get up for clinical a 0420 h! Well, I only have one week and 2 days left! Including exams! Yay me then Christmas break. Can I sleep until Christmas day? LOL! Congrats to us all on another semester!

Sorry you are dealing with this stuff! Not fair! I am thankful every tiem I read mesages like this for my class. There are 14 of us and we all get along well. We've been together through 2 semesters and though there are little quirks abou each of us that probably drive others crazy, for the most part, we ae great pals@!

Good luck to you and keep your chin up. Also, I agree, if you can't be sure they are supporting you, then try to avoid all of the other gosspiers and such. :):)

I guess I was lucky in LPN/ADN school - I worked full-time and had no time for classmates. I also had kids and a hubby...I couldn't even tell you the name of another student or an instructor at this point. The point I'm trying to make is to realize that you are in school to learn and sometimes detaching is a better route to take. I wish you luck - you seem so stressed. The XMas break will make things look a lot better.

I am truly sorry that all this drama is still going on in your classes. It's insane, you shouldn't have to deal with this. However, many nursing school classes are like this which is very sad. I know mine was. I don't know if I can deal with it again. I go from moments of sheer excitement when I think of going back in August, to moments of sheer angst and disgust at the thought of going through the very kinds of things you are mentioning.

The fatigue alone is enough to make you want to pull your hair out!:uhoh21: Hang in there, I truly hope things get better soon. :) Maybe during your break you can get some well deserved rest and relaxation.(((hugs)))
