Good news...I got into nursing school! Bad news...they have all white uniforms. Forgive me for asking, but what are your tips for not looking ridiculous, not showing undergarments, and, uh...not sharing too much at certain times of the month, ladies? Thank you!! :imbar

Wear a white camisole under your top to prevent your bra from showing. They do make special white pants that aren't see through but they are more expensive and come in limited styles(which may go against your program requirments). I like the allheart brand. Here's the link

These pants are also good for that time of the month. BUT, always have extra pads/tampons/and underwear just in case you get caught off guard!

Good Luck in school!

Flesh colored microfiber undies. Not red polka dot things.

I am also starting nursing school this fall and our uniform is also all white. We also have to wear a really ugly navy blue vest!!!!

We dressed like Alice in Wonderland. Had to iron them and wash the cap.

Then were glad to wear all white after graduation.

Wearing loose white scrubs and underwear the color of your skin is good for modesty.

If you're allowed to wear scrubs you can wash white ones with bleach to remove stains and kill 'germs'.

Soak blood in cold water first, no matter whose it is. Don't use H2O2 on blood, it makes a stain that is hard to get out.

I'd rather see red polka dots than NO underwear at all! LOL! Some girls seem to think nude underwear is the same as actually going nude! It isn't! You should never know about a coworkers "special" birthmark!!:no::no::no::no:

Flesh colored undies. I would go for the boy shorts versus a thong (especially if you are unlucky and get soaked). White tank or t-shirt underneath.

ita with the skin toned microfiber undies, i wear white ones too, i'm old i don't care. i also wear a white tank, tee, or turtleneck depending on the season. our school just says white pants without the elastic ribbed cuffs. i have some from lee that are a thicker white twill (with a little stretch) that i found at an outlet store for around $7.00. i think land's end has some uniform white twills as well but they can be pricier, great quality though.

Flesh colored bra and undies. I wear "granny panties" because they really eliminate any lines. Also looser scrub bottoms help! Take the appropriate undergarments with you to a uniform store and try them on, you'll see what I mean! White underwear really stands out!

My floor requires white scrubs, so I wear them all the time.

Do not wear white underwear. It will show through your clothes. Some of my co-workers wear white bras and you can see them through their tops. Get skin toned bras and underpants for work.

When you are on your period, wear an overnight sized pad and the most absorbent size of tampon you can find. I'm totally serious about this. And keep a lab jacket or hoodie that is long enough to cover your back side, just in case. I've worn white scrubs for one year and have only had one "accident", but it was sure handy to have that jacket to cover my backside while the hydrogen peroxide dried!

first of all, congratulations on getting accepted! i am so lucky in that i don't have to wear white, but when i do, i love my koi brand pants in the lindsey style. first of all, this style comes in a petite length that actually fits me correctly, but the material that these scrubs is made out of is a little more durable than some that i've found...it wears really well, washes well, and most of my uniforms are made by koi...plus they all coordinate very well, makes for great mix and match! also, as so many have said...nude colors are great for undergarments! good luck!

Definitely terrified about the white uniform as well...especially being a girl. It makes me want to wear a full body tampon just to be on the safe side. I don't even wear white underwear :(
