What is your passion?

Without a doubt, we are all great nurses, whether it be BSN, ADN or Diploma.

My question for all of you is "What is your passion"? What non-nursing dream sets you apart from the nurse next door. None of us are one dimensional.

Researchrabbit and delirium are to be seen in the future on the New York Times Best Sellers List...

Where do you see your secret dream taking you in the future????

ARchitechture! or real estate I love old buildings and different styles. Oh and married (Iget that in JULY- to the most wonderful social worker alive !):kiss

My passion is dogs... pure and simple. If I hadn't been so old when I went to nursing school, I bet I'd have considered being a vet. I actually considered it during my last quarter of my nursing program, but time wasn't on my side...

I'd love to have another dog (my Irish Setter passed over last May and I've not been "ready" yet to welcome another companion into my life) and train it very well... to receive a Good Cainine Citizen Award and Therapy Dog Certification so I could take it around to hospitals and long term care homes, etc. to cheer people up. I know that if I were in a situation where I couldn't have a pet all the time, I'd absolutely adore someone bringing their pet to the hospital/home where I was to cheer me up!

Maybe I'll get more serious about this now that I've read this thread and committed my desire to cyberpaper...

Thanks for this great thread!

Warmly,

Anaclaire

To be a professional runner and run in the 2008 Summer Olympics. I actually began to start training for it. I don't know what event I want to do. I am a distance runner so I am thinking either 10k or marathon. Wish me luck.

I also love to sew, and it would be really cool to design my own line of clothing.

My dream would be to buy a old victorian house and convert it to a Bed and Breakfast, somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains, have a nice little restaurant, casual but elegant. Have a little gift shop selling country home made items, yellies, yams, etc... Perhaps I could order my cakes from Heather!

I love to dabble in crafty things, don't know if I'd say it's my passion right now, but when I have time I'd love to do more > Things like wreaths and centerpieces, flowers in general!

I recently inherited a sewing machine so I'm mentally lining up things I want to sew this summer...so by the time you guys open your shops and B&B I can make you all the linens you need :D ;)

If 'ones passions' could be defined as 'ones hopes',then my passion, my hope is:

1. my kids will turn out alright

2. world peace, which will be had only by religious peace

3.less spending on armaments and more spending eliminating world hunger ,every hour 1500 children die of hunger related causes.

4. eliminating global warming,if the trend toward global warming continues then the resultant rise in sea levels will have disatrous consequences , particularly for coastal areas of all the earths land masses.
