  1. I do chart reviews almost exclusively in my position. We do not have electronic charts yet but if we did I would be the one responsible for auditing them for compliance. My position is RN Auditor. I think there could be need for a FT chart auditor in many hospitals.
  2. I need some advice. I am wanting to make a big change but I don't know where to begin. I don't care for the area I'm living in and I want to make a move. Moving near family isn't an option because that would be a small town in Nebraska or Northern Michigan (Both areas are absolutely beautiful but neither would provide financial stability for my husband and myself). Has anyone ever faced this and how did you decide where to move. Cost of Living? Job opportunities? Pay? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. James, I agree with you. And as a manager, I could not hire someone who made such an impulsive move as to slap their teen child twice in the face. I have a teen child who has been "trying" to say the least and I guess my question is "was that the right way to handle the situation"? and as a manager I would have to question how a "trying" situation would be handled with very difficult patients. That said, best of luck with the daughter and I hope this all works out for you.
  4. I remember one time working in an ER and a young man came in. He had been drunk and had fallen from a high distance and landed on his head. Needless to say we were performing CPR on him and with every compression, blood came out of every orifice in his head. He didn't make it......
