What Did You Get For Nurses Week?

I have been MIA from allnurses for a long time so I decided to start a topic...I just received my "nurses week" gift from my management team at the hospital were I work. Last year we got a pen and this year we got one of those tall aluminum bottles that keeps your drinks cold/hot, with the hospital logo on it!! Yay! *sacrasm over* At least we got a useable gift.

Curious on what other facilities have done or currently doing for their staff for nurses week. Please share.

i got the most pathetic gift of all time..

the chief of nursing came by our unit during an evening shift and she left us a small thing of cookies from a local grocery store...and it was in a maple shaped plastic container. why even bother right..?

It's such a strange thing ... the head honcho of our organization came by today and was like, "so how were those cupcakes?!" ... clearly looking for ... a pat on the back I guess?

It was ONE cupcake.

They were just left in the break room. Not even enough for all of us.

I would have settled for ... my scheduled lunch? Uninterrupted by my phone?

Call me disgruntled, sitting there trying to smile at her and thank her for the damn cupcake.

Again. A big shout out to my coworkers -- they are the best ❤️.

the our manager got us a cake ! so that makes up for it i suppose

Flowers on our unit, with a card stating "we know you are doing... listed the mission and values".

A BBQ lunch, so if you work another shift and want to come in, please bring your name badge. (this was for everyone... because everyone is being appreciated for nurses week)

Two metal tumblers with lids, a skinny one and a larger one with a skinny bottom so it still fits into the cup holder. Both insulated and nice, both with the hospital logo on them (but stamped into the metal, so not a different color or super noticeable). (also for everyone).

One of the OR circulators talked the anesthesiologists group into buying us lunch.... pizza delivered. It was a good thing because I only had a chance to take a couple of bites between patients and I don't mind eating pizza cold. If they hadn't done it, I would have had no lunch that day, so I'm very appreciative.
