I'm considering purchasing premium membership to AllNurses.com, but I wanted to hear from others who are currently Premium Members...

What advantages have you noticed?

Would you buy again?

How long have you been a premium member?

How long were you a general member before you signed up as a premium member?

Thanks!:yeah:

i don't know about the benefits to premium membership -- i don't use most of them. but i think of it as supporting a great site. i can afford the premium membership but there are so many frequent posters who cannot -- single parents, those out of a job, students and wannabe students. the price you pay for your premium membership may help to subsidize their memberships.

You're right... it is a really good site. I can't believe how useful it has been in such a short time. Most member forum sites are just junk... this one is really good, and well moderated.

Ditto Ruby Vee, I love this site and will support it every way I can.

I was a premium member for nearly 2 years (December 2005 to November 2007) before I became a moderator in late 2007. I loved all of the perks of having a paid membership, and being a premium member was definitely worth it to me.

I buy a membership simply to support the site.

The perks are nice though!

Thanks to all that do such a great job keeping this board running - esp the mods who make sure we all play nice with each other.

I was also a premium payer before becoming a staff member and always thought it was worth it. This site has helped me in so many ways was nice to give something back and I can afford to do so

I got my membership b/c i placed in the last article contest. When this expires, i'm planning on renewing it. Not really seing much difference -though i like my avatar picture. but i figure i blow the same amount on worse stuff so i might as well put the funds to good use.

I got the membership I could afford at the time...so first it was none, then the regular and now this one. I also don't really use any of the benefits except the avatar, signature and editing, and I do like not having ads to look through...but like Ruby Vee, I like being able to support the site, and I'll likely renew this one when it expires.

As far as what YOU should get...first, see if you'll be hanging around here for a while. IMO (and sorry, staff), don't run to pay for a membership when you plan to only visit whenever you need a question answered, or if for whatever reason you just can't get into this place...because then you will feel as though you've wasted your money. And money is tight for many of us nowadays.

So give the place a trial run, and if after a couple of months or so you find yourself logging in more often than not (at least every other day) then consider purchasing a membership. You'll enjoy the membership a lot more if your heart's into this place, and you'll be more likely to keep renewing it as long as your finances will let you.
