May 10, '07At our school they reccomend gettingregardless if the hospital says you are covered to protect yourself. I have also had several instructers point out that it is advisable to pick up malpractice insurance and that it is affordable also and worth the money.
May 10, '07I obtainedthe very day I received my license in the mail. For one, I do know that the hospital or facility would have no problem leaving me out to dry if necessary and it can be for something as simple as a band aid. Also, agencies will not hire you without it. They will not take responsibility if you screw up...you are on your own. I hope to never utilize it, but, I will never walk around without it.
