Nurses Blast From the Past Photo Contest

I think most of us agree that we enjoy looking at photo albums. What a great way to literally turn back the pages of time......perhaps when we were still kids......back when life was simpler. We look at those old pictures....and it seems like it was only yesterday.

It is really entertaining to see photos of people we know. To see them in another time, another space. Gee whiz!!!! They sure look strange. Look at the hairstyles......the big glasses....the clothing styles. Of course WE NEVER LOOK STRANGE in our old pictures.

Talk about fun times? Remember your early days in your nursing career. The uniforms you wore....complete with a white starched dress, white hose, white Clinic shoes......and topped off with a white hat! There was no doubt who were the nurses. I know....this is way too far back in the cobwebs for some of you "youngsters". But we all have memories of days gone by.

allnurses wants to see photos of you from the Good Ol' Days! We are having a Nurses Blast from the Past photo contest and we want your best nursing mug shot.

Here are the rules:

  1. Go through your photo albums and find an authentic old nursing photo. It can be embarrassing, funny, or creative; the themes go on and on.
  2. Click on this link which takes you to the submission form. Nurses Blast from the Past Photo Contest Submission period ends October 20th.
  3. A panel of judges at allnurses will choose the most unique photo submitted.

I almost forgot the most important thing......THE PRIZE!!!!!!

The winner will be the proud owner of a brand new Littmann Cardiology III Stethoscope!! WOW. Bet that makes your heart skip a beat.

*Lurker* I can't wait to see some pics only been a nurse for three months i don't have any pictures of me in uniform. To busy working; and when I am done I want to get out of those scrubs.

I know they would me. I had a co-worker who had a baby 15 years ago at another hospital that I was employed with at the time. I happened to be her primary nurse the day of d/c. She recognized me in her video even though I was 15 yrs younger, different hair style and was 8 mo pg! I verified it was me :blink:

Plus+++ no longer need a stethoscope! If the prize was a bottle of Pinot Noir.. I would chance it ;)

When I first glanced at the picture posted with this topic ( the old black and white photo) I thought.....WOW Klinger from MASH in a nurses uniform!!!! Sorry if this is you or your family member, but at a glance.....never know what you might see.
