Mar 5, '02ERT -Emergency Room Tech. In addition to regular tech duties they start IV lines, draw labs, do EKG's. Do all the casting and splinting, transport monitored (and non-monitores) patients and generally make the rn's life so much better.

CMT = certified medication technician
CMA = certified medication aide
r/t = related to
amb = as manifested by, also ambulate
WC = ward clerk, also water closet in U.K.
d/t = due to
pt = patient if in small letters, PT physical therapy in caps
res = resident, a term used for a patient in a LTC
admin = on this BB usually refers to management-type people, administrators
suits = same as above
OMG = Oh, my God!
