Krispy Kremes in our cafeteria. And with all the fattening crap on the menu.....they may as well have McD's. However, there is a subway in walking distance. As well as Popeye's fried chicken!!!

When I was in nursing school (stone age, I know!), we had an exchange with Ireland and Britain, where they had pubs in the hospital!!! Beer, anyone (or, should I say, pint anyone?)!

I just remembered something else (because, really, it was the stone age and my memory isn't that great) - there was a sign 'No food in theatre' (OR, in Americanese)!!!

One of Uncle's really BIG hospitals here has an entire food court, including McDonalds, Subway (or something similar), and many others, some on pushcarts or in kiosks. Like a big mall. It's really an excellent idea and keeps everyone in competition to provide decent (even if sometimes high fat) food. Nice to have all the choices as well, and a good place to just hang out.

I am not working at a hospital currently do to school, but I said I was going to Chicago's Childrens Memorial because they have a STARBUCKS!!! (they also have a McDonalds) I could get a Venti Toffee Nut Latte and work a 16 hour shift.

I never drank coffee before I started nursing school, but have started for the rush....see nursing school is dangerous to my health!!
