I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

Specializes in Neonatal ICU (Cardiothoracic).

You're right. The best place is to plug areas into a site like http://www.salary.com

I'm not telling how much I make.... nyah nyah....:p

Specializes in Cardiac.

I make enough but wouldn't mind making more!;)

Why do people have such a hard time telling how much they make? I make about 2300 per month. New grad btw. I dont mind telling I wish people would share more so that I would know if what I am making is normal.

I'm a new LVN in California and I'm currently making $19 an hour. I don't know if that helps or if that's the average.

With working one day of OT every week I make before taxes about 6000 per 2 week pay period. This is the "low wage state" of Texas, Houston area.

What is your hourly rate?

that pretty decent even before taxes..with one day of OT

I definitely think I don't get enough $$ for all I have to do and all the stress and responsibilities..

I have 3yrs experience - critical care - and just over $30/hour Day Shift - if I precept/or take charge I make $1-2 /hour more for those shifts...

iWhen I get my certification I'll get $2.00 more an hour which I'm studying for now.

When I get my BSN (next year?) I'll get $1-2/hour plus a bi-yearly bonus.

Per diem rates are $38.00 hour or more at my hospital....

travelers get even more but they haven't been using many of them lately.

bottom line - nurses aren't paid enough for all we do.:twocents:
