May 22, '04[font=Comic Sans MS]Yes, they had all sorts of things
for the first shift like lectures, and free lunch. But nothing for the night shift. The only thing all the nurses in the hospital got were plastic cups from Coca-Cola (oops can I say that?). We are always the forgotten shift that gets crapped on.

May 23, '04Not only did my facility not recognize nurses day, but I am in middle management. We had a meeting that day, and our D.O.N. purchased a meat and cheese tray and then asked the middle management team to pay for it(tray was for all nurses staff.) We got not one word of recognition. I was disappointed.

May 23, '04Quote from babinrsAmen! For most of my RN career, I've worked nights, for all the usual reasons, and we don't get bupkes! Unless we're supposed to feel goog about the $1.00 shift diffeerential and $0.50 charge pay! :angryfire[font=Comic Sans MS]Yes, they had all sorts of things

May 9, '06We are now doing Hospital Employee week but as a manager we always get gifts for our staff but here's something for you to think about too... As a manager we NEVER get anything from our staff on Nurses Day, we are still nurses too and we do a good job too and we'd like to hear it once in a while from staff just as much as you wanna hear it from us!:spin: :spin:
:blushkiss Can't we all just get along?
