College degrees in addition to Nrsg?

Hello!

I can't be sure if there's been a thread asking about college degrees obtained in addition to the nursing degree.

I have been an LPN for 19 years. Before I went to nursing school I obtained a BS in Psychology and did some Masters' study in Speech Pathology/Audiology(never completed the program as I decided I really wanted nursing). I'd really like to continue on for the BSN. However, if I were to enroll in a "traditional college program" (instead of Regents, for example), I'd have to retake the A&P and Chemistry because it's been 25 yrs since I took those. It seems like most college-bassed programs require that those courses be taken within 5 yrs or so of entrance into a nursing program. The idea is pretty frightening.

Any RNs out there who have 1)other degrees, and, 2) who were once LPNs for 15yrs or more before returning and finishing the RN program? Can you offer any tips? Are there any LPNs out there with 15+ yrs experience with another degree on the side who are considering the pursuit of a BSN? (I've already researched the College Network program; it is WAY too expensive for ME).
