Anyone watch Nurse Jackie?

For those not familiar with it, it's a series on Showtime. I realize many of you have time constraints and watching a series may be the least of your worries but does anyone here watch it?

I kind of like it although it's not very realistic in some aspects. In some it is.

I also think she has some wery good traits, she's a good nurse, lots of experience, jugles everyhting, goes the extra mile for so many patients, gutsy, non-nonsense, loves her kids, her job, is a pretty good friend, doesn't take crap from anyone... so I do look up to SOME of her good traits.

The juxtoposition is what fascinates me.

I think the makers of that show had some very good nurse advisors

To all those complaining that it isn't an accurate portrayal of nurses...who is going to sit at home on a couch and watch me, on television, sit in front of a computer and chart on my patients, and administer drugs, and do procedures for 30 minutes per week. Give me a break, my life at work is boring...who'd want to watch my job on TV?

A M A Z I N G set. Truly. Dexter is the best. So was Six Feet Under, and of course The Sopranos. The Midas Touch with those producers/Directors.

No I haven't but I know what you're talking about!!! When I graduate in May maybe I'll just have to buy the set and sit back by the pool

I like all of the aforementioned shows. They aren't meant to be realistic, they're meant to be entertaining. If you want realistic go to discovery health! Love Nurse Jackie been waiting for this season to start up and had to catch up on demand last week!! Do you guys watch Californiacation or Dexter? and for that matter...the C word and Weeds and True Blood?

I'm pretty sure the producers/directors actually are nurses! I saw an interview and they said they wanted to make the show because ALL the hospital shows were about doctors, and they wanted one centered around nurses.

Knew a nurse who lost her license because she was taking morphine and replacing it with just regular fluids. It completely destroyed her life and family. So sad..
