I saw this picture along with the ad on Facebook. It is an ad for The College Network's RN to MSN program. "Go from an RN to MSN without sitting in a classroom! 100% online program". Really is that suppose to be a serious picture of a nurse because it looks to me like a "slutty nurse" Halloween costume, not an actual nurse.
I emailed the Webmaster for The College Network and stated that we as nurses have enough negative stereotypes to battle and this type of advertising doesn't help. I mean I know I go to work everyday in a cheesy nursing "cap" and satin uniform...yep everyday. Geez! So I guess the question is does anyone else have a problem with this ad.

It's a no-brainer really. She looks like a Media star.

Yeah, I thought halloween costume myself. It just goes to show you what kind of school it is, which means avoid THAT school at all cost!! I don't have to wear those 'cheesy' hats and i haven't seen those in a long time! You still have to wear them?

It's not a flattering picture. And the picture being associated with TCN makes it worse.

The College Network is not a school per say, rather they are a third party referral company that advertises online.

How would anybody think it wasn't negative?

I do believe she might be. The come-hither stare isn't helping matters. Good Lord. Real nurses look so much different than this that I can't do much but laugh.
"Time for your bed bath..."
Get out of here with that picture TCN. What a monstrous joke.

why would anyone choose to attend a school that advertised like that anyway?
