hi!

anyone up for swapping resumes for constructive criticism?

during my time in school i participated in many seminars to perfect resume writing and interviewing skills; which i am sure you did to! i was also a tutor for nursing students which i helped assist many students write their resumes and cover letters.

i thought this would be a great way to share ideas of what we learned and help each other make our resumes and cover letters stand out!

if you would like to participate pm me and i will give you my email address to swap resumes. please take off all identifying info (name, address, phone number) from your resume. i don't want o be responsible for it!

Im not saying because I took a test 7 years later makes me eligible to be hired, what I'm saying is I remain persistent and dedicated to the goals I am trying to accomplish. Believe me, this is what I was called to do. An every nurse recruiter that I have spoken with, I've explained that too.

Youre not being cruel at all. I take constructive criticism very well. Right now the market is hard and competitive and I study what I need to do to get what I want. I'm currently enrolling myself in a refresher course, but I'm very particular where I get my education from. If I'm paying for it, I want the best!! I took a refresher course before when I was preparing for the boards and the course was garbage!! During clinicals, we learned absolutely nothing, I felt jipped and I reported it to the school. Hence my hesitancy...

But I totally understand what you are saying. What I said in the note was brief. I've been commended on my tenacity and that's what keeps me going. I could've given up a loooong time ago, but that's not my character. I'm determined, steadfast, unshakeable and unmovable and i WILL get and do the things my heart desires. I have strong beliefs, principles, morals and values and it's just a matter of time before the door opens and I walk thru it!!

Thanks for your post...it just motivates me even the more!!!

Hi, I just wanted to know if there is a recruiter or nursing manager out there who wouldn't mind looking over my resume. I just feel so lost! Any advice would help!

how can i send you people my resume and cover letter to review??help.

I would like to participate as well. It's hard to get true constructive critism from friends and family. I would like to know if there is anything I could change or add on my resume and cover letter. I still review resumes at my current employer so Im up to offering advice as well.

Hi all! I will be graduating in November from an accelerated BSN program. I am trying to rearrange my resume so that it corresponds with my new career path as a registered nurse and need some help! I previously worked as a pharmacy technician for 2 &1/2 years and did a nurse extern program for the duration of my short summer break. I am having a problem with what information I should include in my resume, what information I should omit, and what I should alter. I have read posts saying that you should include clinical experience but I am having a block as to what to put, should I just list the clinicals that I had (ex: med-surg, OB, psych, community health, etc) and the location in which I had them? Include a description? If I could get some feedback on this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!! If possible, I could also send someone my resume to give it a look over and let me know what you think. Thanks so much!

Same here, I'll take a look at your resume if you want me too. I am a Recruiter and look at plenty of resumes every day. :)

Also (unless you want me to recruit you) please take off all your personal information from your resume.

Hey would you mind looking at my resume? I am graduating in May 2010 and I am starting to look at jobs to apply to. I would really appreciate it!!!

Hey, I'd appreciate it if someone can look at my resume! It seems like there's a couple nurse recruiters in the forum too, but I won't be greedy. If you have the time, please look at my resume. Or if you also have a resume that needs taking a look at, I'd be glad to look over it. PM me guys.
