Hello, I would like to endorse my CA-RN license to Virginia but they (VaBON) say that i have to go through CGFNS. I am a foreign nurse and do not have my transcripts anymore but i do have the ones from ERES. I do not understand why VaBON does not take transcripts from other institutions (they are as valuable as CGFNS is). What should i do as i can not have the transcripts sent to CGFNS anymore due to numerous reasons (i am not in the country anymore...) and who should i contact at the VaBON. I am having headaches due to this. I pray that a miracle will take place and someone will understand my situation. I am supposed to move at the end of the year (I told my supervisor here that i was leaving at the end of the year). This situation made me read about all the BONs and i must say some BONs such as New Mexico and others take CGFNS, ERES etc. VaBON should follow their example. Who should i write to, to let him/her know that they should make our lives easier, we passed the N-clex which was not easy. Have a good Sunday.

let me explain the situation. it happened the other day i was busy in one room passing my meds (i was giving an insulin shot) when the alarm rang, i did my best to finish my care as fast as possible and then ran into the room. my cna and i got the patient up and put her back to bed. 2 days ago while talking with my supervisor she said she will write me up because the patient fell; i explained to her that i was passing my meds and could not be at 2 places at the same time and that as soon as i was done with the insulin i went to the patient's room. 1) can she write me up because a patient fell while i was pasing my meds? 2) can i reply to her "warning, memo"? 3) how bad is a write up in an rn's file?

hi i hope i chose the right place to post my question, i would like to know if there is a difference between transitional care unit and rehabilitation? i looked for transitional care as a speciality and could not find it and based from what i am reading, i would say that they call it rehab here. am i right? thanks

Hi everyone, i am happy, i have my 1st job interview coming (i actually do not know when, i took the online assessment and they send me a letter saying that i did very well yayyyy and that they will call me to schedule a phone interview the job is in med/oncology, in another state). please i would like to know what kind of question i should expect? what should i ask them? should i be afraid of oncology, chemo....? thanks guys

Hi everyone I am new here and this is my first thread, as you can read the title i need a job and i am getting frustrated. I am a foreign nurse (my 1st language is French), i passed my nclex last year and worked for about 9months in a convalescent home (i have experience :), ). Since december of last year i have been looking for a job and it is really frustrating and sad because i know people who have no qualifications therefore have an excuse for not finding a job what is mine (excuse)? I have a degree and am willing to work hard (my butt off to be explicit) unfortunately for me i do not personnally know any D.O.N who could hire me (that is how it works i have been told). I do not know what to do anymore if anyone knows a hospital, nursing home... looking for an R.N please let me know. i have a degree, i am young (my mom always told me work as much as you can while you are young)and the only thing that i want to do is to work (I still have hope, at least i passed my nclex). I am ready to relocate anywhere in California (i am in southern California). thanks.
