I have violated a hospital policy, not in patient care or a hippa violation, but I've made a mistake of hooking up with a coworker in the parking lot after work. This ended up to the manager, and we had a meeting with HR, and now I'm on a leave. They claimed it was a sexual act on the company premises and there is witnesses.
I'm devastated, i feel completely retarded and that shouldn't have even happen, but people make mistakes, I'm a hard worker, and now awaiting their decision, there's 90% i'm getting fired because of this.
The thing i'm worried about is what's going to happen if i applied to other jobs, would this affect me at all? is it confidential or what is going to happen?
if anyone has an insight on this will be much appreciated
I apologize, i didn't know where to post this, i'm just stressed out and beating myself everyday for this mistake.
I don't see how it makes any difference if the OP is a man or a woman...
Well, if the OP is a guy we should stop referring to him as a "she."
And to the OP, here's the thing: you are going to be judged for this. Here, by your coworkers if you're not fired, by prospective employers if it gets to them, etc. You're not being judged for something you had no control over; you're being judged for exercising very poor decision making, and you know what, that is a completely fair reason to be evaluated and judged. Telling us not to judge you and saying "yeah I know it was wrong but don't kick me when I'm down" suggest that you don't fully appreciate that bad decisions often have bad consequences that you must deal with. Sometimes it's not enough to say "my bad, won't happen again" and everyone moves on. Sometimes it takes time to rebuild your reputation.
I say this as someone who royally screwed up in the past; my mistake makes yours pale in comparison. You are nowhere near done eating crow for this, so take a deep breath, think about what is being said here, and be prepared to be completely humble and apologetic with your employer.
What a leap. I hope you're not trying to group yourself with HIV patients and drug addict patients as those are legitimate conditions. Getting busted for hooking up in a parking lot doesn't spark a lot of compassion in me. Sorry. Hope you learn from your actions and it doesn't affect future employment.
couldn't careless what you think, you're opinion does not matter.
OP, so you wanna know what you should do?
Stop sulking and start applying to other jobs right away. Doesn't matter which thing happens, it may take a short while for it to happen, so if they can your butt for being immature, or, you become a big joke, you just may be able to get out and start a new job without too much harm.

you know nothing about what happened. I already said i was on a leave, and i have been so apologetic to my employer and asked for a second chance, and all what you are saying, I already know. judging people for their poor decision is still judging, you know nothing about me, who i am, and youre based on your opinion on something i did.
you make no sense.
